Job summary

re-zoo-me is seeking a Software Engineer to develop, enhance, and maintain enterprise applications using Java and Python. You will provide L2/L3 production support, troubleshoot incidents, and work to improve system reliability in a fast-paced production setting.

You will monitor health with Grafana/ELK, manage MQ/Kafka messaging, and contribute to CI/CD deployment processes. Strong Unix/Linux and SQL skills are required, with a passion for solving business problems through engineering.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in software development with L2/L3 application support responsibilities.
• Strong hands-on experience in Java development, with working knowledge of Python and Shell (Bash) scripting.
• Strong hands-on experience with Unix/Linux operating systems and SQL.
• Good understanding of Grafana, ELK, MQ/Kafka, WebSocket, SFTP, and CI/CD processes.
• Experience supporting applications in production environments, including incident management, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis.

This role combines application development with L2/L3 production support responsibilities, requiring candidates who are comfortable operating in a production environment and balancing both development and operational duties.

Responsibilities:

• Develop, enhance, and maintain enterprise applications using Java, Python, and related technologies.
• Provide L2/L3 application support and troubleshooting for production environments.
• Monitor and support application health using tools such as Grafana, ELK, and MQ/Kafka.
• Analyze and resolve production incidents, system issues, and performance bottlenecks.
• Work with CI/CD pipelines and deployment processes to ensure application stability and reliability.
• Collaborate with stakeholders, development teams, and support teams to drive issue resolution and continuous improvement.
• Utilize Unix/Linux environments extensively for application support, diagnostics, and automation.
• Develop automation scripts using Python, Shell (Bash), or Java to improve operational efficiency.

Mandatory Skills Description:
