Job summary

Tangspac Consulting Group is seeking an experienced Java Developer to design, develop, and support enterprise-grade Java applications within the banking/financial services domain in Singapore. You will work closely with architects, product owners and technology teams to deliver robust microservices and APIs.

The role demands hands-on expertise with Java, Spring Boot, microservices, REST APIs, SQL and distributed systems, and a solid understanding of banking products or core banking applications.

Qualifications

• Experience designing, developing and supporting enterprise-grade Java applications.
• Strong hands-on knowledge of Java, Spring Boot, microservices, REST APIs, SQL and distributed systems.
• Understanding of banking products, payment systems or core banking applications.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain scalable Java-based applications for banking systems.
• Develop microservices and RESTful APIs using Java and Spring Boot.
• Analyse business and technical requirements and translate them into robust technical solutions.
• Participate in the full SDLC, including requirement analysis, design, development, testing, deployment, and production support.
• Collaborate with Solution Architects, Business Analysts, QA teams, DevOps engineers, and business stakeholders.
• Develop secure and reliable applications in accordance with banking and enterprise technology standards.
• Troubleshoot complex application, performance, integration, and production issues.
• Conduct code reviews and ensure adherence to coding standards and best practices.
• Support application modernization, migration, and integration initiatives.
• Work with relational databases and develop efficient SQL queries, stored procedures, and database integrations.
• Contribute to technical design discussions and provide recommendations on application architecture and performance improvements.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, reviews, and retrospectives.
• Prepare technical documentation and support knowledge transfer within the team.
• Ensure compliance with security, audit, risk, and regulatory requirements applicable to banking applications.
