Job summary

CloserStill Media in Singapore is seeking an experienced Event Director to launch and scale a new technology show in Japan, building the event and team from the ground up. You will own budgets, sales targets, and P&L, while shaping strategy across brand, marketing, operations and sales.

You will bring a proven track record in launching new markets, be commercially astute, and fluent in Japanese to engage government stakeholders and clients.

Qualifications

• Proven track record as an Event Director or Senior Event Manager with APAC market launch experience.
• Fluent in Japanese and able to pitch to Japanese clients and partners.
• Able to manage budgets, P&L and deliver against sales targets.
• Strong leadership and collaboration across brand, marketing, operations and sales teams.

Responsibilities

• Develop strategies for the event program, budget, resources and team under direction of Commercial Director.
• Collaborate with internal departments, external partners and vendors to ensure planning and execution.
• Manage budgets to maximise ROI and provide monthly revenue/forecast reports.
• Build and lead the DCWJ team from ground up, including hiring and onboarding.
• Lead by example to achieve personal and team sales targets and partner with marketing to drive exhibitor growth.
