Job summary

AVENSYS CONSULTING PTE. LTD.

is seeking a System Engineer to manage and monitor all installed systems and infrastructure, and to install, configure, test and maintain operating systems, application software and system management tools. The role includes ensuring high levels of availability, creating and maintaining EFT jobs, performing health checks after monthly infra maintenance, and collaborating with developers to resolve performance bottlenecks.

Qualifications

At least a Diploma in Computer Science, Computing, Engineering, IT or equivalent.
At least 2 years of working experience in Information Technology.
Good knowledge of file transfer and security technologies, such as SFTP, file encryption etc.
Good knowledge of Java Web Application development, JEE frameworks.
Knowledge of XML, Oracle PL/SQL and MS SQL query language.
Knowledge of Windows administration, scripting and UNIX/LINUX cron.

Responsibilities

Manage and monitor all installed systems and infrastructure.
Install, configure, test and maintain operating systems, application software and system management tools.
Perform system patching, application deployment and reporting.
Proactively ensure the highest levels of systems and infrastructure availability.
Monitor and test application performance for potential bottlenecks, identify possible solutions, and work with developers to implement those fixes.
Maintain security, backup, and redundancy strategies.
Write and maintain custom scripts to increase system efficiency and lower the human intervention time on any tasks.
Perform SLIFT key/ SFTP Password/ SSL and RDP Cert changes.
Maintain the list of software inventory.
