Job summary

Avensys Consulting Pte Ltd is seeking a System Engineer (File Transfer) in Singapore to manage and monitor all installed systems and infrastructure. You will install, configure, test and maintain operating systems, applications, and system management tools to ensure high availability.

The role requires knowledge of file transfer, SFTP, encryption, XML, Oracle PL/SQL and MS SQL, plus Windows administration, scripting, and UNIX/Linux cron.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Computer Science, Computing, Engineering, IT or equivalent; 2+ years of IT experience.
• Good knowledge of file transfer and security technologies, such as SFTP and encryption; knowledge of Java Web Application development and JEE frameworks.
• Knowledge of XML, Oracle PL/SQL and MS SQL; Windows administration, scripting and UNIX/Linux cron.

Job Description:

• Managing and monitoring all installed systems and infrastructure
• Installing, configuring, testing and maintaining operating systems, application software and system management tools
• Ensuring the highest levels of systems and infrastructure availability.
• Create and maintain jobs in EFT application. - Perform health checks for jobs after monthly infra maintenance.

Responsibilities | CORE –

• Manage and monitor all installed systems and infrastructure - Install, configure, test and maintain operating systems, application software and system management tools –
• Perform system patching, application deployment and reporting. –
• Proactively ensure the highest levels of systems and infrastructure availability - Monitor and test application performance for potential bottlenecks, identify possible solutions, and work with developers to implement those fixes –
• Maintain security, backup, and redundancy strategies –
• Write and maintain custom scripts to increase system efficiency and lower the human intervention time on any tasks –
• Perform SLIFT key/ SFTP Password/ SSL and RDP Cert changes. - Maintain the list of software inventory.

Qualifications Essential Qualifications

• At least a Diploma in Computer Science, Computing, Engineering, IT or equivalent. - At least 2 years of working experience in Information Technology.
• Good knowledge of file transfer and security technologies, such as SFTP, file encryption etc. - Good knowledge of Java Web Application development, JEE frameworks. - Knowledge of COTS and tools listed for EAI-MFT.
• Knowledge of XML, Oracle PL/SQL and MS SQL query language. - Knowledge of Windows administration, scripting and UNIX/LINUX cron.
