Job summary

PERSOL is seeking a dedicated IT Operations Engineer to join our team in Singapore. You will monitor, support, and maintain SD-WAN solutions and IT infrastructure, ensuring high availability and rapid incident response.

The role requires hands-on experience with SD-WAN platforms, network devices, and wireless solutions, plus a proactive approach to maintenance, security, and service levels.

Qualifications

• Tertiary education in Information Technology, Networking, or related field.
• 1–2 years of experience in IT infrastructure operations or technical support.
• Experience with SD-WAN environments (Cisco Viptela, VMware VeloCloud, etc.).
• Experience with enterprise wireless platforms (Cisco, Aruba, Ruckus, Meraki).
• Certifications in networking or IT services are advantageous (ITIL, CCNA/CCNP, VMware, SD-WAN).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; interest in security and reliability.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and support network infrastructure including routers, switches, firewalls, SD-WAN, and wireless solutions.
• Provide first-level support and troubleshooting for detected issues.
• Respond to and resolve IT incidents following procedures and escalation protocols.
• Execute standard service requests and change requests across SD-WAN platforms.
• Perform daily health checks, log reviews, and system performance monitoring.
• Troubleshoot infrastructure issues and coordinate with specialist teams and vendors.
• Participate in maintenance activities and operational improvements.
• Maintain clear communication with IT teams, stakeholders, and end-users; provide timely updates.

Job description

We are looking for a dedicated and highly motivated IT Operations Engineers to join our team.

This role is critical in ensuring the continuous monitoring, support, and maintenance of customers SDWAN solutions and overall IT infrastructure. The ideal candidate will possess a solid technical foundation, strong problem-solving capabilities, and the ability to perform under pressure in a dynamic environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitoring and Support:

  • Proactively monitor and support network infrastructure including routers, switches,firewalls, SD-WAN, and wireless solutions. Provide first-level support and troubleshootingfor detected issues.

• Incident Management:

  • Respond to and resolve IT incidents in a timely manner, adhering to established proceduresand escalation protocols. Accurately document incidents and resolutions within the incidentmanagement system.

• SD-WAN Change Request Management :

  • Execute predefined standard service requests and change requests across various SD-WANplatforms such as Cisco Viptela, Velocloud, RansNet, SilverPeak, and Fortinet.

• Operational Tasks:

  • Perform daily health checks, log reviews, and system performance monitoring. Ensure allscheduled tasks are completed within agreed service levels.

• Troubleshoot infrastructure issues and coordinate with specialist teams and vendors.

• Participate in maintenance activities and operational improvements.

• Communication:

  • Maintain clear communication with internal IT teams, stakeholders, and end-users. Providetimely updates on incident status and operational activities.

• Compliance and Security:

  • Follow company policies and regulatory standards to ensure secure and compliant IToperations.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Tertiary education in Information Technology, Networking, or a related field (Bachelor’sdegree or Polytechnic diploma preferred).

• At least 1 to 2 years of experience in IT infrastructure operations or technical support(LAN/WAN/Cloud/).

• Experience or knowledge supporting SD-WAN environments (e.g., Cisco Viptela, VMwareVeloCloud, RansNet, Silver Peak, and Fortinet), with the ability to perform operationalchanges, troubleshoot issues, and coordinate escalations when required.

• Experience with enterprise wireless platforms such as Cisco, Aruba, Ruckus, Meraki, or equivalent solutions is advantageous.

• Experience supporting and troubleshooting enterprise wireless LAN (WLAN) environments,including access points, wireless controllers, and cloud-managed wireless solutions

• Relevant professional certifications in networking, systems, virtualization, cloud, or IT servicemanagement (e.g., ITIL, CCNA, CCNP, VMware, or SD-WAN vendor certifications) areadvantageous.
