Job summary

SEARCH INDEX PTE. LTD. is seeking an IT Infrastructure Engineer to support the monitoring, reliability, and cost efficiency of a hybrid IT environment across AWS, infrastructure, network, databases, and applications. You will monitor health, manage alerts, and contribute to SRE practices while driving FinOps in a dynamic setup.

The role requires 3-5 years in IT operations, experience with AWS, and strong analytical and communication skills. Occasional after-hours support may be required.

Qualifications

• Requires degree or diploma in IT, CS, engineering or related discipline.
• 3-5 years in IT operations, infrastructure, NOC, or cloud operations.
• Experience with AWS and hybrid IT environments.
• Hands-on with monitoring/observability tools (CloudWatch, Grafana, Prometheus, Splunk or ELK).

Responsibilities

• Monitor system, network, cloud and application health using tools like CloudWatch, Grafana, Prometheus, Splunk or ELK.
• Manage alerts, triage incidents and coordinate with technical teams for resolution.
• Maintain monitoring dashboards, service health reports and observability standards.
• Support major incidents and identify recurring issues to improve reliability.
• Monitor AWS costs and support FinOps including cost tracking, tagging, budgeting and optimisation.
• Recommend resource rightsizing balancing performance and reliability.
• Improve monitoring, alerting and automation; contribute to SRE practices.
• Maintain technical and operational documentation.

We are looking for an IT Infrastructure Engineer to support the monitoring, reliability and cost efficiency of our hybrid IT environment across AWS, infrastructure, network, databases and applications.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor system, network, cloud and application health using tools such as CloudWatch, Grafana, Prometheus, Splunk or ELK.


• Manage alerts, perform initial incident triage and coordinate with relevant technical teams for resolution.


• Maintain monitoring dashboards, service health reports and observability standards.


• Support major incidents and identify recurring issues to improve system reliability.


• Monitor AWS and infrastructure costs and support FinOps initiatives, including cost tracking, tagging, budgeting and optimisation.


• Recommend resource rightsizing and cost-saving opportunities while balancing performance and reliability.


• Improve monitoring, alerting and automation processes and contribute to SRE practices.


• Maintain relevant technical and operational documentation.

Requirements

• Degree/Diploma in IT, Computer Science, Engineering or related discipline.


• 3-5 years' experience in IT operations, infrastructure, NOC, service assurance or cloud operations.


• Experience with AWS and hybrid IT environments.


• Hands-on experience with monitoring/observability tools such as CloudWatch, Grafana, Prometheus, Splunk or ELK.


• Knowledge of AWS cost management, ITIL and incident management.


• Strong analytical, troubleshooting and communication skills.


• AWS or FinOps certification is an advantage.


• Provide after-hours support, including weekends and public holidays, when required.
