Job summary

Asia Pacific Exchange Pte. Ltd. (APEX) in Singapore is seeking an IT governance and data function professional to support governance and regulatory compliance within the IT & Operations Department.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or Information Systems.
• Familiar with MAS TRM Guidelines, MAS Outsourcing Guidelines and Cyber Security Act.
• Detail-oriented and organized, able to work under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Support IT governance frameworks, policies, and procedures in line with internal controls and regulatory requirements (MAS TRM, Cybersecurity Act).
• Maintain IT risk register, track control effectiveness, and prepare compliance and risk reports.
• Coordinate with Risk Management, Compliance, and external auditors to support audit readiness and issue remediation.
• Assist in materials for external audits, regulatory inspections, and compliance reviews (MAS, SWIFT attestation).
• Maintain records of IT systems, software, and hardware assets.
• Support vendor sourcing, onboarding, contract renewals, and procurement in line with IT and regulatory standards.
• Collect and organize IT data to support risk dashboards, audit responses, and compliance reporting.
• Assist in secure and compliant data handling practices across departments.
• Ad-hoc duties as assigned.

About the role

Reporting to the Chief Information Officer, the candidate will be supporting Information Technology (“IT”) governance and data function under IT & Operations Department.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

• Support the implementation and maintenance of IT governance frameworks, policies, and procedures in alignment with internal controls and regulatory requirements (e.g. MAS TRM, Cybersecurity Act).
• Assist in maintaining the IT risk register, tracking control effectiveness, and preparing compliance and risk reports.
• Coordinate with Risk Management, Compliance, and external auditors or service providers to support audit readiness and track issue remediation.
• Prepare materials and assist with external audits, regulatory inspections, and compliance reviews (e.g. MAS,SWIFT attestation).
• Maintain records of IT systems, software, and hardware assets.
• Support vendor sourcing, onboarding, contract renewals, and procurement processes in accordance with IT and regulatory standards.
• Collect and organize IT data to support risk dashboards, audit responses, and compliance reporting.
• Assist in the implementation of secure and compliant data handling practices across departments.

Requirements

• Preferably bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or Information Systems.
• Familiarity in the FI industry best practices and familiar with local regulations such as MAS Technology Risk Management Guidelines, MAS Outsourcing Guidelines and Cyber Security Act, etc.is an advantage
• Detail-oriented and organized individual

• Proficiency in both English and Mandarin with oral, written and presentation abilities, to liaise with Chinese-speaking stakeholders
