Job summary

TANGSPAC SEARCH PRIVATE LIMITED is seeking an experienced IT Environment Manager to provision and configure testing and production environments, ensuring readiness and smooth deployments across multiple environments. You will collaborate with development, QA, and operations teams to maintain environment stability and support release activities.

The role requires 8+ years in IT, strong Linux/UNIX, J2EE/JBoss expertise, and familiarity with Temenos T24 and deployment tools.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or similar relevant education background.
• Strong hands-on experience with Linux/UNIX operating systems.
• Mandatory experience with J2EE application environments and JBoss application servers.
• Good understanding of application environment management, configuration management, deployment, and release processes.
• Experience with Temenos T24 and its underlying architecture is highly desirable.
• Experience with deployment and release tools such as ARA and Octopus is an advantage.
• Experience with JIRA or similar Agile project and defect management tools.
• Working knowledge of Oracle and/or MySQL databases across different platforms.
• Understanding of ITIL processes and best practices.

Job description

Key Responsibilities

• Provision and configure project environments required for System Integration Testing, User Acceptance Testing, System Availability Testing, and Performance Testing.


• Manage and monitor test environments throughout the testing lifecycle, ensuring environments are available and fit for purpose.


• Provide regular updates to project stakeholders on environment readiness, status, dependencies, risks, and issues.


• Manage key environment related dates and deliverables, proactively highlighting potential risks, conflicts, and delays.


• Provide hands on environment support during test execution and troubleshoot environment related issues.


• Deploy application development builds, configuration changes, patches, and other technical changes across test and production environments.


• Review deployment instructions and execute application deployments in accordance with established procedures and controls.


• Work closely with Change Managers and relevant technology teams to coordinate releases and ensure appropriate change management processes are followed.


• Collaborate with global technology teams to coordinate and support environment related changes across different locations and time zones.


• Support configuration management and maintain consistency across application environments.


• Analyse technical requirements and translate them into environment configuration and deployment activities.


• Work closely with development, QA, infrastructure, application support, and project teams to resolve deployment and environment issues.


• Support defect investigation and resolution using tools such as JIRA and other project or incident management platforms.

Requirements

• Minimum of 8 years of experience in IT


• Bachelor degree in computer science or similar relevant education background.


• Strong hands on experience with Linux / UNIX operating systems.


• Mandatory experience with J2EE application environments and JBoss application servers.


• Good understanding of application environment management, configuration management, deployment, and release processes.

• Previous experience in banking or financial services environments is strongly preferred.


• Experience in Environment Management, Release Management, Deployment Management, or Application Support.


• Exposure to Agile and DevOps methodologies.


• Understanding of ITIL processes and best practices.


• ITIL certification is desirable.
