Job summary

JDA WMS Pte Ltd in Singapore seeks an IT / Software Support Engineer to deliver end-to-end technical support, testing, commissioning, and maintenance for automated material handling and warehouse systems. You will work in a small team, providing on-site and off-site IT infrastructure support, network configuration, and database management (Oracle & SQL).

You will support application development with C#, C++, VB, PowerBuilder, and web tech, manage Oracle and SQL Server databases, handle 24/7

Qualifications

• Education: Diploma or Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Experience: Minimum 3 years of hands-on software application experience with a focus on WMS and MFC.
• Database Skills: Proficient in DB administration (Oracle, SQL Server) and database programming (PL-SQL, T-SQL).
• Programming & Tools: Knowledge of Object-Oriented languages (C#, JavaScript), Microsoft Visual Studio, and legacy languages.
• Infrastructure: Solid understanding of IT network architecture, hardware configurations, and web services.

Responsibilities

• Deliver end-to-end technical support, testing, and commissioning for automated material handling systems, WMS, MFC, and PLC interfaces.
• Support application development and maintenance utilizing programming languages (C#, C++, Visual Basic, PowerBuilder) and web technology/services (Microsoft IIS, XML, HTML, JavaScript).
• Manage, write, and optimize database operations using Oracle and SQL Server (PL/SQL, Transact-SQL).
• Provide setup, configuration, and troubleshooting for network equipment, including routers, switches, and VPNs.
• Deliver technical maintenance and support across IT infrastructure, Windows OS, hardware devices, and internal software applications.
• Provide responsive IT hotline support, handling both remote and on-site technical resolution for client queries.
• Travel overseas as required to execute on-site project implementations, system testing, and commissioning.
• Identify and propose continuous process improvements to boost service functionality and team performance.

Job Summary

Reporting to the Senior Customer Service Manager, the IT / Software Support Engineer provides critical technical execution, software testing, commissioning, and ongoing maintenance for automated material handling and warehouse systems (WMS / Material Flow Controls - MFC). Operating in a 4-person team, this role delivers both on-site and off-site IT infrastructure support, network configuration, and database management (Oracle & SQL). Additionally, the engineer provides 24/7 hotline support (on standby) for clients, optimizes internal service workflows, and travels overseas as needed to support international project rollouts and system commissioning.CORE RESPONSIBILITIES

A. Software & Automation Systems Support

• Deliver end-to-end technical support, testing, and commissioning for automated material handling systems, Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), Material Flow Controls (MFC), and PLC interfaces.

• Support application development and maintenance utilizing programming languages (C#, C++, Visual Basic, PowerBuilder) and web technology/services (Microsoft IIS, XML, HTML, JavaScript).

• Manage, write, and optimize database operations using Oracle and SQL Server (PL/SQL, Transact-SQL).

B. IT Infrastructure & Network Administration

• Provide setup, configuration, and troubleshooting for network equipment, including routers, switches, and Virtual Private Networks (VPNs).

• Deliver technical maintenance and support across IT infrastructure, Windows OS, hardware devices, and internal software applications.

C. Customer Support & Field Operations

• Provide responsive IT hotline support, handling both remote and on-site technical resolution for client queries.

• Participate in standby on-call rotations to deliver continuous software support and operational continuity for customers.

• Travel overseas as required to execute on-site project implementations, system testing, and commissioning.

• Identify and propose continuous process improvements to boost service functionality and team performance.

• Carry out additional technical and administrative ad-hoc duties as requested.

REQUIREMENTS & QUALIFICATIONS

• Education: Diploma or Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related discipline.

• Experience: Minimum 3 years of hands-on software application experience with a focus on Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and Material Flow Controls (MFC).
