Job summary

Private Advertiser is seeking an experienced IT leader to drive digital transformation for Freight and Warehousing. This role partners with business stakeholders to strategize and prioritise IT project roadmaps and ensures successful delivery of enterprise-wide initiatives.

The candidate will oversee governance, change management, and adoption of new technologies while maintaining strong relationships with global functions and regional teams to realise business value.

Qualifications

About the role

The suitable candidate will provide strategic technology leadership to the division and drive digital transformation to enable business growth, operational efficiency, profitability and build a culture of technology led innovation for business. Serve as the business partner to strategize, prioritise and lead development of IT project roadmap for Freight and Warehousing to advance business goals and deliverables across all stakeholder groups.

Key Responsibilities

• Hold key accountability of end-to-end IT project delivery and lead enterprise-wide implementation within agreed timelines

• Drive continuous improvement opportunities across core freight logistics platforms, warehouse management systems, CRM, integration platforms, reporting tools and related operational applications

• Lead periodic communication interface with internal LOB leaders & customers, identify operational and commercial requirements and build solutions to enhance user experience and service reliability

• Establish project governance disciplines, including project charters, milestone tracking, issue logs, steering updates, change control, stakeholder sign-off, benefit tracking and lessons learned

• Build strong working relationships with global functions and regional teams to support project adoption, standardised ways of working and sustainable process improvement

• Own technology investment governance and business value realisation

• Monitor and rationalise the application landscape by strengthening strategic platforms, integrating critical systems, retiring or simplifying legacy tools where appropriate

• Lead the organisational adoption of new technologies and digital solutions by ensuring effective change management, stakeholder communication, role-based user training, process documentation, go-live support and post-implementation adoption monitoring

• Provide strategic oversight of IT vendors, system integrators and external service providers, ensuring effective governance of scope, delivery quality, commercial commitments, costs, risks and service levels

• Establish effective IT service performance governance by monitoring system availability, recurring incidents, service trends and user feedback, identifying systemic root causes and driving corrective, preventive and continuous improvement initiatives

Skills and Experience

• 10 - 12 years' relevant IT experience, including at least 5 years leading IT projects, systems implementation, business process improvement or regional IT transformation initiatives in freight and warehouse logistics

• Experience managing global teams and resources in a matrix organization

• Proven track record in delivering IT projects that improve operational productivity, data accuracy, customer visibility, system adoption, cost efficiency or service reliability

• Experience implementing, enhancing or integrating logistics systems such as CargoWise, WMS, Salesforce, BI dashboards, integration platforms or operational automation tools would be advantageous
