Job summary

CAPGEMINI SINGAPORE PTE. LTD. is seeking an IT Business Analyst / Senior Business Analyst to support technology initiatives that drive business transformation and operational excellence.

You will collaborate with stakeholders, product teams, solution architects, developers, and vendors to define requirements and deliver scalable solutions. Depending on experience, you may lead cross-functional initiatives, mentor junior analysts, and guide the project lifecycle from discovery to post-production

Qualifications

• 3–4 years of Business Analysis experience for BA roles; 6+ years for Senior BA roles.
• Proven experience gathering, analysing, and documenting requirements across the SDLC.
• Strong understanding of business process analysis, requirements management, and solution design.
• Experience with Agile, Scrum, Waterfall, or hybrid delivery methodologies.
• Familiarity with system integration projects, APIs, cloud-based solutions, data platforms, or enterprise applications.

Responsibilities

• Gather, analyse, and document business requirements, user needs, current and future state processes, user stories, functional and non-functional requirements, and acceptance criteria.
• Lead or facilitate discovery sessions, workshops, interviews, and stakeholder discussions to identify business challenges and define solution requirements.
• Translate business needs into clear and actionable specifications, process models, workflow diagrams, and solution documentation.
• Collaborate with business users, product teams, architects, developers, and vendors to assess solution feasibility and support the design of secure, scalable, and maintainable systems.
• Support initiatives involving applications, cloud platforms, APIs, system integrations, data management, automation, and digital transformation projects.
• Maintain requirements traceability and ensure alignment between business objectives, solution design, development, testing, and deployment activities.
• Facilitate backlog grooming, sprint planning, requirements clarification, solution walkthroughs, and stakeholder reviews within Agile delivery environments.
• Develop test scenarios and coordinate functional, integration, regression, performance, security, and user acceptance testing activities.
• Manage defects through investigation, tracking, retesting, and resolution in collaboration with technical teams and business stakeholders.
• Support deployment planning, change management, operational readiness assessments, production issue analysis, and transition to business-as-usual operations.
• Monitor post-implementation performance, coordinate issue resolution, and support production stabilisation activities.
• For senior-level candidates, provide guidance and mentorship to junior analysts, lead complex initiatives, and drive stakeholder decision-making across multiple workstreams.
• Conduct knowledge transfer, handover, and documentation activities to ensure continuity of operations and support.

About the Role

We are seeking an IT Business Analyst / Senior Business Analyst to support the delivery of technology initiatives that drive business transformation and operational excellence. In this role, you will work closely with business stakeholders, product teams, solution architects, developers, and external vendors to understand business needs, define requirements, and deliver scalable technology solutions.

Depending on experience and seniority, you may lead complex cross-functional initiatives, drive stakeholder engagement, mentor junior analysts, and play a key role throughout the project lifecycle, from discovery and analysis to implementation and post-production support.

Job Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Information Systems, Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Minimum 3-4 years of Business Analysis experience for Business Analyst roles; 6+ years for Senior Business Analyst roles.
• Proven experience gathering, analysing, and documenting business and system requirements across the software development lifecycle.
• Strong understanding of business process analysis, requirements management, process modelling, and solution design practices.
• Experience working with Agile, Scrum, Waterfall, or hybrid project delivery methodologies.
• Familiarity with system integration projects, APIs, cloud-based solutions, data platforms, or enterprise applications.
• Experience coordinating testing activities, including system testing, integration testing, regression testing, and UAT.
• Strong stakeholder management, facilitation, communication, and presentation skills.
• Ability to work effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Experience using business analysis and project delivery tools such as Jira, Confluence, Azure DevOps, Visio, or equivalent platforms is preferred.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills with attention to detail.
• Professional certifications such as CBAP, CCBA, PMI-PBA, Agile, Scrum, or equivalent will be advantageous.
