Job summary

Zenith Infotech (S) Pte Ltd in Singapore is seeking an IT Analyst to support the application side of development projects. The role requires a degree in IT/CS and at least five years of end-to-end software development experience with .NET or Java, plus familiarity with SOA and database design.

Applicants should be adept at system analysis, documentation, and collaborating on security-conscious development and production support.

Qualifications

• Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or equivalent.
• 5+ years in IT development with full SDLC experience; Singapore implementation preferred.
• Proficient in .NET or Java with related technologies (ASP.NET, C#, HTML/CSS/JS, jQuery).
• Experience with SOA, web services (SOAP/REST) and relational databases (MySQL/SQL Server).
• Experience in data extraction, batch processing and interface design is a plus.
• Exposure to security best practices and system documentation is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Analyze requirements and translate into IT solutions across the SDLC.
• Develop and maintain web applications using .NET or Java technologies.
• Integrate systems using SOA, SOAP/REST based services and ensure data integrity.
• Design database schemas and optimize SQL queries; provide production support.
• Prepare technical specifications, data models and interface docs; manage version control.
• Collaborate with government-related security standards and IM8 guidelines where applicable.

Job description

Zenith Infotech (S) is a Tech Recruitment firm with 28 years of presence & related experience in Singapore, and 16 plus years in Malaysia. We support our clients both from the government and corporate sector in terms of ICT Consultants placement.

Currently, one of our clients are looking out forIT Analyst on the Application side of things.

This will be a4 years renewable contract,available toSingapore Citizens only.

Requirements :

1.The Candidate shall possess at least a Degree in Information Technology (IT), Computer Science or equivalent qualification.

2.The Candidate shall have at least Five (5) years of work experience in IT development, with exposure to end-to-end software development lifecycle (SDLC - system analysis and design; application development and testing; and operational support and maintenance). Experience with implementation in Singapore is preferred.

3. The Candidate shall have at least Five (5) years of experience and be proficient in designing, developing and maintaining web applications using Microsoft .NET (.Net framework/.Net Core) or Java and relevant technologies (e.g. ASP.NET, C#, HTML/DHTML, CSS, Java , JQuery and AJAX).

4. The Candidate shall have experience in Service Oriented Architecture (SOA), e.g. web services development, integration with SOAP and/or REST based web services.

5. The Candidate shall have at least Five (5) years of experience with relational databases (such as MySQL, Microsoft SQL Server) and be proficient in developing solutions which involve relational database schema design and writing optimized SQL queries/stored procedures.

6. The Candidate is preferred to have experience working in areas digital preservation and archival domain.

7. The Candidate is preferred to have experience working with excel objects, building interfaces to other applications in the .Net platform and possess the ability to analyze/extract data for batch processing/ingestion.

8. The Candidate is preferred to have experience implementing good security practices in application development & support.

9. The Candidate is preferred to have working experience in doing system design and documentation that are thorough, concise as well as easily readable, such as data modeling, functional specifications, design specifications, interface specification and sequence diagram.

10. The Candidate is preferred to have experience with source code management, such as GitLab, TFS, CVS, SVN

11. It is an added advantage that the Candidate has working experience in government agency environment with exposure to IM8, WOGAA, Digital Standards, and/or other Singapore government security policies compliance requirements

12. The Candidate shall have experience and be proficient in:

12.1 Requirements and impact analysis, including evaluating and recommending feasible technical implementations.

12.2 IT operational support, including incident management, defect tracking, source code version control, release management, deployment to Production; and

12.3 Project management support, including maintaining issue log and change control records, documenting operational procedures/guides, coordinating with users.
