The role requires a Diploma or degree in IT or related fields, basic networking and cloud knowledge, and strong organizational skills to manage accounts, licenses, backups, and incident escalation.

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or related.
• Experience in IT administration, technical support, vendor coordination, or cybersecurity support.
• Basic understanding of networks, cloud services, Microsoft 365, access controls, backups, endpoint security, and cybersecurity practices.
• Strong organisational, follow-up, documentation, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate the maintenance and support of the company’s computers, servers, networks, software, email systems, cloud services, business applications, and other IT infrastructure.
• Provide first-level assistance to employees for common hardware, software, connectivity, system-access, and user-account issues.
• Arrange for unresolved or technical issues to be escalated promptly to the relevant external IT vendor.
• Manage the setup, modification, and removal of employee user accounts, system access, email accounts, devices, and software licences.
• Maintain an up-to-date inventory of IT equipment, software licences, subscriptions, warranties, and assigned users.
• Support IT onboarding and offboarding processes for employees.
• Act as the company’s primary point of contact for external IT vendors and service providers.
• Work with management and external vendors to identify, plan, and implement the company’s IT requirements.
• Obtain quotations, coordinate implementation schedules, monitor outstanding matters, and follow up to ensure timely completion.
• Review vendor recommendations and service reports and highlight significant issues, risks, delays, or costs to management.
• Monitor vendor performance and verify that contracted services, maintenance, backups, restoration tests, and cybersecurity activities are completed as required.
• Work with management and external IT vendor to develop, implement, and maintain appropriate cybersecurity measures.
• Follow up on security updates, software patching, antivirus and endpoint protection, firewalls, email security, access controls, multi-factor authentication, backups, and recovery arrangements.
• Monitor cybersecurity alerts, identified vulnerabilities, and recommended corrective actions, ensuring that outstanding items are tracked and resolved.
• Maintain cybersecurity records, including risk assessments, incident reports, access reviews, backup reports, and security testing results.
• Coordinate cybersecurity awareness training and circulate relevant security advisories to employees.
• Assist with cybersecurity incidents by promptly escalating the matter, coordinating with relevant parties, documenting actions taken, and supporting recovery efforts.
• Conduct periodic reviews of user access rights and ensure access is removed promptly when employees leave or change roles.
• Support the development and implementation of IT and cybersecurity policies, procedures, and business continuity plans.
• Provide management with regular updates on IT performance, cybersecurity risks, incidents, outstanding actions, vendor matters, and planned improvements.
• Maintain accurate IT documentation, including system information, vendor contacts, asset registers, licences, procedures, and renewal schedules.
• Support IT audits, cybersecurity assessments, compliance reviews, and insurance-related information requests.
