Job summary

foodpanda is seeking an iOS Software Engineer to join Growth in Singapore, working with an international team to build experiences our customers interact with daily and to drive acquisition, retention, and growth.

You will own the full software development life cycle, contribute to architectural decisions, and collaborate with Product Management to maximize value. A 4–6 year track record in mobile development and Swift expertise are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field.
• Strong command of English to articulate technical concepts clearly.
• Proficient in Swift with extensive hands-on development experience.
• Skilled in high-performance testing and optimization.
• Deep understanding of software architecture including SOLID, MVVM, and VIPER.
• 4–6 years of mobile software development experience.
• Experience setting up CI/CD pipelines for deployment and release.
• Involvement across the full SDLC (design, development, testing, deployment, release).

Responsibilities

About the opportunity

We are seeking a dynamic iOS Software Engineer to join our Growth domain, supporting the expansion of our regional Product team in Singapore. You will work alongside a talented and motivated international team, driving innovation across the entire customer journey. This role focuses on building the experiences our customers see and interact with every day, developing products that help us acquire, retain, and grow our customer base.

What's on the menu:

• Act as a subject matter expert within your vertical, being hands-on throughout the full SDLC—including development, design, testing, deployment, and release
• Serve as the product owner within your vertical, including driving improvements and performing maintenance when necessary
• Participate in architectural decision-making
• Ensure code quality through reviews that align with development standards
• Actively collaborate with Product Management to deliver maximum value to stakeholders and customers

What you need to be successful

What you can bring to the table:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
• Strong command of English with the ability to clearly articulate technical concepts and project scope
• Proficient in Swift programming with extensive hands‑on development experience
• Skilled in high‑performance testing and optimization
• Deep understanding of software architecture and design patterns, including SOLID principles, MVVM, and VIPER
• Proven experience in addressing scalability challenges and developing high‑performance applications capable of handling thousands to millions of active users
• Experience in setting up and managing CI/CD pipelines for efficient deployment and release cycles
• Comprehensive involvement across the full Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), including design, development, testing, deployment, and release
