Job summary

foodpanda, part of the Delivery Hero Group, is seeking a Senior Fullstack Software Engineer to join the Growth domain in Singapore. You will work with an international team to build experiences across the customer journey, driving acquisition, retention, and growth of the customer base.

You will design and implement scalable frontend with React and backend with Golang, contribute to architecture decisions, and mentor junior engineers in a fast-growing global company.

Qualifications

• 4–6 years in full-stack web development with React and Golang.
• Experience with design patterns, software architecture and automated tests.
• Familiarity with microservices and distributed databases.
• Strong communication in English and cross-functional collaboration.
• Understanding of development lifecycle in agile, international teams.

We are seeking a dynamic Senior Fullstack Software Engineer to join our Growth domain, supporting the expansion of our regional Product team in Singapore. You will work alongside a talented and motivated international team, driving innovation across the entire customer journey. This role focuses on building the experiences our customers see and interact with every day, developing products that help us acquire, retain, and grow our customer base.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and optimise scalable frontend applications and backend services for our global platform.
• Build and maintain frontend features using React and backend services using Golang, ensuring seamless integration and reliable performance.
• Contribute to system architecture and drive engineering best practices across frontend and backend development.
• Diagnose and resolve complex technical issues, optimising application performance, reliability, and scalability.
• Drive code quality through coding standards, code reviews, and automated testing.
• Apply design patterns and best practices in cloud environments, CI/CD, and system reliability.
• Collaborate with Product Management and cross-functional, international teams to deliver effective solutions and manage technical priorities.
• Participate in architectural discussions, share technical knowledge, and mentor junior engineers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent education or practical experience.
• Over 4–6 years of experience in full-stack web development, with strong proficiency in React for front-end development and Golang for back-end services. Experience with other backend languages is also considered.
• Hands-on experience with Design Patterns, Design Principles, Software Architecture and Algorithms and automated tests (unit, integration and functional).
• Understanding of microservices architecture and patterns, which is beneficial for designing scalable and maintainable systems would be a plus.
• Good knowledge of relational & distributed databases (Normal forms, ACID, isolation levels, index anatomy & concepts of distributed databases).
• Understanding development lifecycle and collaborating with cross-functional and international agile teams.
• Excellent written and spoken English communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team and collaborate with stakeholders across various disciplines.
