Atomic Recruitment – Investment Manager (Chinese Family Office)

Role Overview
This is a hands-on investment role for an experienced professional who can take meaningful ownership across the full investment lifecycle — from opportunity screening, analysis and due diligence through investment approval, transaction execution, ongoing monitoring and eventual exit.
The role will also contribute to broader portfolio analysis, implementation and monitoring.
Candidates with approximately 6+ years of relevant experience may be considered at Senior Investment Analyst level, while candidates demonstrating strong independent transaction ownership may be considered at Investment Manager level.
Key Responsibilities
- Screen and evaluate fund, private credit, private equity, direct and co-investment opportunities .
- Conduct qualitative and quantitative fund and manager due diligence , including investment strategy, performance, risk, capacity, fees, terms and operational considerations.
- Lead or coordinate commercial, financial and investment due diligence on direct and co-investments.
- Build and review financial models and analyse relevant investment and transaction documentation.
- Assess key commercial terms, downside risks, investment protections and potential exit considerations.
- Prepare concise investment memoranda and investment committee materials , presenting recommendations, key risks and outstanding considerations.
- Support and independently manage transaction execution where appropriate, including adviser and counterparty coordination, signing and closing.
- Monitor investments post-closing, including financial performance, material developments and exit considerations.
- Analyse portfolio positioning, liquidity, concentration and investment exposures.
- Support portfolio sizing, funding and rebalancing decisions within the approved investment framework.
Essential Requirements
- 6+ years of relevant investment experience within buy-side investing, fund research, private equity, private credit, investment banking, transaction services or a related environment.
- Demonstrated experience working on end-to-end private investment transactions .
- Experience in fund/manager due diligence and/or direct and co-investment analysis .
- Strong financial modelling and investment analysis capabilities.
- Ability to independently review investment documentation and identify key commercial and investment implications.
- Strong understanding of portfolio risk, liquidity, concentration and asset allocation considerations .
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including experience preparing investment recommendations and decision-making materials.
Preferred
- Experience across multiple asset classes and/or private markets .
- CFA, CAIA, CPA/CA or another relevant professional qualification; practical investment capability remains the primary consideration.
- Familiarity with institutional investment databases, research platforms and portfolio-management systems.
- Established relationships within the broader investment and financial-services ecosystem would be advantageous.
