Job description

As an integral member of the Ares team, you will have the opportunity to work directly with senior investment professionals on new and existing deals. Your role will involve interacting with investee companies and industry participants to manage investment positions, gather industry insights, and compile industry data to understand trends and competitive dynamics. You will be responsible for collecting company-level operational and financial data, analyzing financial statements, and building detailed financial models for companies. Additionally, you will perform valuations using various methodologies, identify potential investment risks, and present investment recommendations to the Investment Committee.Our ideal candidate possesses 1-3 years of work experience in consulting firms, investment banking, or funds (private credit, special situations, private equity) and holds an MBA/PGDM degree from reputable institutions such as IIM A/B/C, ISB, or US B-Schools. You should have a passion for investing and valuation, be self-motivated, enjoy challenges, and be willing to continuously learn. Strong analytical skills, proficiency in numbers, advanced MS Excel, and financial modeling skills are essential for this role. Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English, along with editorial and review skills, are required. An entrepreneurial spirit, ability to work well under pressure, and strong team player qualities are highly valued.In this role, you will report to the Managing Director, Asia Credit.
