Job summary

TNB Aura, a leading Southeast Asia venture capital firm, is seeking an Investment Associate based in Singapore. You will engage with top-tier startups, source deals, and work closely with senior investors to assess market opportunities and financial potential.

The role requires a minimum of 2 years in venture investing or related fields, with strong financial skills and a passion for technology and entrepreneurship. This is a full-time position located in Singapore.

Qualifications

• Minimum bachelor’s degree in business/finance/economics from a top tier school.
• At least 2 years of direct venture investment experience or the like (ex-founder, top-tier consulting, or investment banking).
• Strong interest in technology and entrepreneurship.
• Strong analytical, financial analysis, writing, and presentation skills.
• Ability to build and maintain relationships with founders.
• Familiarity with Southeast Asian startup ecosystem.

Responsibilities

• Active ecosystem outreach, sourcing high-quality deals, and managing the deal pipeline.
• Manage communications with startups and internal team.
• Identify, source, and enable screening of startups.
• Perform in-depth analysis on market, industry, competitor, business model, and financial metrics.
• Conduct commercial and financial due diligence on startups.
• Construct financial models and perform returns analysis.
• Structure terms of investment deals and negotiate with founders.
• Draft investment committee papers for opportunities.

Responsibilities

• Monitor performance of portfolio companies and provide regular reports to partners and team
• Conduct regular market research in selected industry/sector
• Be involved in other contributions to company events/activities

Requirements

• Minimum bachelor’s degree in business/finance/economics from a top tier school
• At least 2 years of direct venture investment experience or the like, including ex-founder, top tier consulting firms, and investment banking
• Strong interest and passion into technology and entrepreneurship
• Strong intellectual curiosity and fast learner
• Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with founders
• Familiarity with the latest technology trends and Southeast Asian startup ecosystem
• Strong analytical, financial analysis, writing, and presentation skills
• Ability to work independently and within a team context
• Attention to detail, thorough and organized
• Ability to identify key drivers of business models and clarify ambiguity
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and able to cope with pressure that comes with the start-up culture
