Job summary

HMR Singapore Trading is seeking an organized, experienced Store Keeper to manage stock, staff coordination, and plan promotional campaigns for the store. The role involves overseeing goods in storage, inventory control, and ensuring compliance with hygiene and safety standards.

The candidate should demonstrate strong records management, ability to work with suppliers, and capacity to coordinate with departments to meet stock needs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in retail management, marketing, or related fields.
• Experience in retail management or sales.
• Knowledge of retail operations, merchandising, and budgeting processes.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Receive and forward all types of goods and deliveries to the correct storage area.
• Follow all standards for issuing and receiving stock within the store's area of operation.
• Monitor and take inventory on a regular basis to compile orders based on par levels or needs.
• Maintain clear and organized records to ensure all reports and invoices are filed and stored properly.
• Monitor Periodic Automatic Replacement levels for all food items to ensure proper levels.
• Verify goods arrived as per the agreed purchase, delivery note and quantity received.
• Storage of both food & beverage and operational stock.
• Day-to-day check on storage facilities upkeep and hygiene.
• Refuse acceptance of damaged, unacceptable, or incorrect items.
• Ensure cleanliness of all areas, keep storage areas clean and tidy and in compliance with hygiene regulations.
• Ensure store requisitions are signed by Department Heads.
• Ensure the quantity requested matches the quantity issued.
• Store requisition forms signed by the person collecting goods and entered into MMS.
• Post invoices using MMS.
• Communicate clearly and professionally with others.
• Follow up on documentation of after-hours issues in accordance with internal controls.
• Adhere to Health and Safety procedures for food and beverage items.
• Conduct inventory audits to determine levels and needs.
• Assist Accounts Payable in cost discrepancies.
• Complete requisition forms for inventory and supplies.
• Update inventory management software daily.
• Work with Purchasing to order and receive items and equipment.
• Troubleshoot vendor delivery issues and oversee returns.
• Verify and track received inventory and complete inventory reports and logs.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.
