Job summary

OCBC invites aspiring technologists to join as Regional Disaster Recovery Intern in Singapore. You will work with seasoned professionals to analyze incident and DR data, build dashboards, and support DR readiness across the bank’s technology landscape.

You will develop data analytics and reporting skills, contribute to knowledge management, and participate in governance and process improvement initiatives that enhance operational resilience and recovery capabilities.

Qualifications

• Pursuing an undergraduate degree in Information Technology, Data Analytics, Computer Science or related field.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Basic knowledge of data analytics, trend analysis and data visualization concepts.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Excel and reporting tools.
• Basic scripting experience in Python, Bash/Shell scripting, or Java.
• Familiarity with databases and SQL would be advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Perform trend and gap analysis by integrating and analysing incident management data and Disaster Recovery exercise results to identify improvement opportunities.
• Support the development and enhancement of centralised dashboards to track Disaster Recovery readiness, recovery metrics, and testing outcomes.
• Analyse and visualise data to provide insights that support operational resilience and decision-making.
• Assist in the creation and maintenance of the Disaster Recovery Book of Work (BOW), Operations Manual, and Confluence knowledge repositories.
• Support knowledge management initiatives to ensure documentation remains comprehensive, accurate, and sustainable.
• Review and streamline Disaster Recovery checklists to improve consistency, completeness, and operational effectiveness.
• Support automation initiatives that enhance efficiency and reduce recovery time within the Disaster Recovery environment.
• Collaborate with technology teams to support ongoing Disaster Recovery readiness and continuous improvement efforts.
• Provide support on other projects and tasks as assigned.
