OCBC Bank invites undergraduates in IT/Data Analytics/CS to join as a Regional Disaster Recovery Intern in Singapore. You will support initiatives to keep banking systems available during disruptions, work with data analytics, reporting, process improvements, and automation projects while gaining exposure to enterprise DR practices.

You’ll collaborate with technology professionals across Group Technology Services, develop dashboards, analyze recovery metrics, and contribute to knowledge

Qualifications

• Pursuing an undergraduate degree in IT, data analytics, CS or related discipline.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with data-driven mindset.
• Familiarity with Excel, SQL and basic scripting is a plus.

• Perform trend and gap analysis by reviewing incident data and DR exercise results.
• Help build and enhance central dashboards to track DR readiness and metrics.

What You Do

• Perform trend and gap analysis by integrating and analysing incident management data and Disaster Recovery exercise results to identify improvement opportunities
• Support the development and enhancement of centralised dashboards to track Disaster Recovery readiness, recovery metrics, and testing outcomes
• Analyse and visualise data to provide insights that support operational resilience and decision-making
• Assist in the creation and maintenance of the Disaster Recovery Book of Work (BOW), Operations Manual, and Confluence knowledge repositories
• Support knowledge management initiatives to ensure documentation remains comprehensive, accurate, and sustainable
• Review and streamline Disaster Recovery checklists to improve consistency, completeness, and operational effectiveness
• Support automation initiatives that enhance efficiency and reduce recovery time within the Disaster Recovery environment
• Collaborate with technology teams to support ongoing Disaster Recovery readiness and continuous improvement efforts
• Provide support on other projects and tasks as assigned

Who You Work With

Group Technology Services, within the Group Operations & Technology Division, provides the foundational technology capabilities that support OCBC's business operations and digital transformation journey. As part of the Regional Disaster Recovery team, you'll work alongside experienced technology professionals responsible for ensuring operational resilience, business continuity, and recovery readiness across the organisation. You'll gain exposure to enterprise technology operations, governance practices, and the critical processes that safeguard banking services.

Who You Are

• Currently pursuing an Undergraduate degree in Information Technology, Data Analytics, Computer Science, or a related discipline
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with an interest in data-driven decision-making
• Basic understanding of data analytics, trend analysis, and data visualisation concepts
• Familiarity with Microsoft Excel and reporting tools
• Basic scripting experience in Python, Bash/Shell scripting, or Java
• Familiarity with databases and SQL would be advantageous
• Interest in technology operations, resilience, business continuity, or Disaster Recovery
• Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
• Good communication and collaboration skills
• Proactive, adaptable, and eager to learn
