Job summary

Ministry Of Social And Family Development in Singapore is seeking an intern to assist with data-driven programmes across EIPIC-Care, TERM, DS-plus and InSP initiatives. You will help prepare materials, conduct literature reviews, enter and manage data, and assist with participant recruitment.

Job description

What the role is:

• Early Intervention Programme for Infants and Children – Care (EIPIC-Care) pilot aims to equip caregivers with the knowledge and skills via parent mediated interventions to support the development of 2–3-year-old children with developmental needs (DN).
• Targeted Enhanced Resource Model (TERM) pilot aims to provide attendance and learning support for children with low socio-economic status.
• Developmental Support-plus (DS-plus) provides learning support services for children with low DN within preschools.
• EIPIC-P (private providers for EIPIC services) provides EI services and support for children with medium to high DN in a separate centre (not within preschools).
• Inclusive Support Programme (InSP) scale up aims to scale up the provision of inclusive learning/support and high quality inclusive practices for children with medium DN within a preschool to more preschools.

What you will be working on:

• Interns will be supporting with the preparation of programme and research materials, literature review, data entry and management, recruitment of participants, and other secretariat duties as required (e.g., minutes taking, scheduling of data collection, etc.)

What we are looking for:

• Currently pursuing a tertiary qualification with experience in coding languages including Python and R, and data visualisation using Tableau
• Proficient in statistical analysis
• Possesses strong skills in data analysis and interpretation, demonstrates critical thinking ability and works independently
• Has strong written and communication skills and is proficient in MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, etc.)
