Job summary

Grab is offering an internship with the Singapore Transport team, focusing on data-driven insights for demand, supply, and pricing. You will analyze large datasets, perform segmentation, and collaborate with Product, Regional strategy, Partner Operations and marketing on strategic projects.

This on-site role is based at the One North office and requires problem-solving, Excel proficiency, and willingness to learn SQL (Python a bonus).

• Enrolled in a university or graduate programme in Economics, Statistics, Business, Information Science or Engineering.
• Proficient in Excel with ability to perform complex functions and analyze data.
• Willing to learn SQL; Python is a bonus.

Get to Know the Team

The Singapore Transport team oversees and grows the Singapore Mobility business (JustGrab, GrabCar, GrabCar Premium etc.). This includes formulating and building on strategy around demand (passengers), supply (driver-partners), pricing and marketplace, while also undertaking product rollouts and special projects.

Get to Know the Role

You will report to the Manager, Fulfilment & Demand. We are looking for an intern possessing strong problem solving and analytical skills to join the team. Projects managed by the team often involve creative analysis using large datasets and deriving insights to create solutions.

You will be onsite and based in the One North office.

The Critical Tasks You Will Perform

• You will use both strategic and analytics toolkits to deliver data-driven business insights and recommendations to act upon (e.g. customer segmentation and strategy, demand / supply strategy, channel strategy)
• You will perform analysis of marketplace issues (e.g. demand, supply, pricing) to improve for our goals (e.g. revenue / profit growth, service health)
• You will work in a team to solve business-critical issues through rigorous analysis, big picture thinking with consideration for operational detail
• You will collaborate with teams across multiple functionalities including Product, Regional strategy, Partner Operations and marketing to implement strategic projects
• You will run A/B testings to refine and determine best projects to launch.

Qualifications

What Essential Skills You Will Need

• Currently enrolled in a university or graduate programme majoring in Economics / Statistics / Business / Information Science / Engineering or a related field
• Proficiency in excel (can perform complex functions) and data analysis
• Problem solving and can do attitude - Willing to learn quickly and understand the root cause of problems; able to work with a multidisciplinary team to propose creative solutions
• Willingness to pick up SQL (Python is a bonus)
