Job summary

Labcorp offers an internship for the Intern – Medical Technologist (Targeted Cell Isolation) in Singapore. The program runs for at least 20 weeks, full-time onsite, Jan–Jun 2027, with paid compensation for final-year or other pursuing students.

You will learn about assays and their applications for clinical trials and precision medicine, attend trainings, handle sample processing, and support inventory management while gaining exposure to Labcorp’s global business and leadership.

Qualifications

• Minimum: current enrollment in Life Sciences, Biotechnology, Medical Sciences, Biochemistry or related Bachelor's programs.
• Preferred: ability to organize data and documents effectively and collaborate with stakeholders.
• Good organization, multitasking, and effective communication are essential.

Responsibilities

• Attend training sessions to support daily departmental activities.
• Receive and sort samples in Envision; support batch creation and preparation.
• Develop a streamlined process for inventory management of consumables with forecasting.
• Exposure to instrument and equipment maintenance in a laboratory setting.
• Experience in PBMC isolation using Donor blood samples.
• May be involved in projects to improve operational efficiency.

Internship Details

• Duration: at least 20 weeks, full-time (Onsite)
• Dates of Internship: Jan – Jun 2027
• Compensation: Paid internship
• Eligibility: Final-year students who are expected to graduate in Jul/Aug 2027 are preferred. However, students at all academic levels who are pursuing relevant fields of study are encouraged to apply.

About Team

Targeted cell isolation plays a critical role in preparing high-quality samples for downstream phenotypic and functional analyses, particularly in the context of clinical trials and precision medicine.

Internship Assignment Summary

You will learn about the various assays and their applications which are essential for clinical and commercial applications which have facilitated the discovery of new diagnostics and treatments to manage a wide array of diseases.

• Attend training sessions to support the daily activities of the department.
• Receive and sort samples in Envision, support batch creation and preparation.
• Develop a streamlined and repeatable process for managing inventory of fast‑moving consumables, while enabling accurate forecasting based on usage trend.
• Exposure to instrument and equipment maintenance in a laboratory setting.
• Experience in PBMC isolation using Donor blood samples.
• May be involved in any project that will cater to operational efficiency.

Minimum Qualifications

• Current enrollment in Life Sciences, Biotechnology, Medical Sciences, Biochemistry, or related Bachelor's degree programs. Other degree programs can also be considered
