Job summary

sggovterp is seeking an enthusiastic intern to assist the Course and Interest Group Development team with day-to-day administration and operations at CCs/RCs/RNs/NCs. You will maintain course records, coordinate with partners, plan community events, and help create social media content to promote courses.

As a key operational support during the Manager's absence, you will ensure continuity of course administration and stakeholder communications, while gaining experience in community engagement

Qualifications

  • Currently pursuing a diploma or degree in Business, Communications, Marketing, Public Administration, Social Sciences, Event Management, or a related field.
  • Strong organisational and administrative skills with attention to detail.
  • Able to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Familiarity with social media platforms and basic content creation tools is an advantage.
  • Resourceful, proactive, and able to work independently as well as in a team environment.
  • Interest in community engagement, programme administration, and stakeholder management.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain and update course records, trainer databases, and related administrative documentation.
  • Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to support course administration and operational matters.
  • Assist in the planning, organisation, and execution of community events, outreach programmes, and engagement activities at Community Clubs (CCs), Residents' Committees/Residents' Networks (RCs/RNs), and Neighbourhood Committees (NCs).
  • Support the preparation of reports, presentations, and other programme-related materials.
  • Create and curate social media content and promotional materials to support course marketing and outreach efforts.
  • Monitor enquiries and support stakeholder communications to ensure timely follow-up and service delivery.
  • Provide operational and administrative support to ensure continuity of work during periods of staff absence.
  • Perform any other duties or projects assigned by the supervisor.

What the role is
