Job summary

Phillip Securities Pte Ltd (A member of PhillipCapital) is seeking an Intern for AI & Business Process Automation to support the Digital Business team. You will explore AI adoption, workflow automation, and digital transformation across the organization.

The role offers hands-on exposure to AI, Agentic AI, and product management, collaborating with stakeholders, product managers and AI engineers to identify opportunities, develop proofs-of-concepts, and improve operations.

Qualifications

• Strong interest in AI, generative AI and digital transformation.
• Familiarity with AI tools such as ChatGPT, Copilot, Claude, Gemini or equivalent.
• Basic understanding of software concepts, APIs and system integrations.
• Exposure to Python, SQL, workflow automation or low-code platforms is advantageous.
• Able to learn new technologies independently.

Responsibilities

• Research and evaluate AI technologies, LLMs and automation platforms.
• Assist in development and testing of AI-driven solutions and workflows.
• Build prototypes and proof-of-concepts to improve productivity.
• Support implementation of AI and workflow automation use cases.
• Study workflows, map processes and identify opportunities for automation.
• Prepare business requirement documents and project reports.

Intern - AI & Business Process Automation

Job Purpose

The AI & Business Process Automation Intern will support the Digital Business team in driving AI adoption, process automation, and digital transformation initiatives across the organization.

The role offers hands-on exposure to Artificial Intelligence (AI), Agentic AI, workflow automation, digital product management, and business process improvement. The intern will work closely with business stakeholders, product managers, and AI engineers to identify automation opportunities, research emerging technologies, develop proof-of-concepts, and improve operational efficiency.

The ideal candidate should be able to understand both business and technical requirements and communicate effectively with business users as well as software and AI engineers.

Key Responsibilities

AI & Automation Projects

• Research and evaluate AI technologies, Large Language Models (LLMs), AI Agents, and automation platforms.
• Assist in the development and testing of AI-driven solutions and automation workflows.
• Build prototypes and proof-of-concepts to improve productivity and operational efficiency.
• Support implementation of AI and workflow automation use cases.

Business Process Improvement

• Study existing business workflows and identify opportunities for automation and process optimization.
• Map current and future-state business processes.
• Analyze operational pain points and recommend practical improvements.

Product & Market Research

• Conduct competitor benchmarking and market research on AI, fintech, and digital products.
• Gather insights to support product roadmap planning and prioritization.
• Evaluate technology trends and prepare recommendations for management review.

Documentation & Analysis

• Prepare business requirement documents, process flows, use case documentation, and project reports.
• Develop workflow diagrams and maintain project documentation repositories.
• Assist in knowledge management and documentation of best practices.
