Job summary

ROBIN WOOD PTE. LTD. is seeking an experienced Interior Designer to lead client engagement, translate concepts into detailed plans, and oversee projects from concept to handover in Singapore.

You will create floor plans, elevations, and 3D visuals, select materials, and coordinate with contractors to ensure quality and budget adherence. Job description

Responsibilities

• Client Management & Consultation: Conduct initial consultations to understand clients' needs, preferences, and budgets for residential and/or commercial projects. Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, providing expert advice and maintaining strong relationships throughout the project lifecycle. Present design concepts, mood boards, and detailed proposals in a clear and compelling manner, incorporating client feedback as needed.
• Design & Conceptualization: Develop innovative and functional design concepts, space plans, and layouts. Produce detailed 2D drawings (floor plans, elevations) and 3D renderings to help clients visualize the final space. Select and specify materials, finishes, furniture, lighting, and other fixtures, ensuring they align with the design vision, budget, and project requirements.
• Project Management & Coordination: Oversee all aspects of the design process, from initial concept to final handover. Create and manage project timelines and budgets to ensure all milestones are met on schedule. Liaise and coordinate with a diverse network of contractors, suppliers, vendors, and other professionals (e.g., architects, engineers) to ensure seamless project execution. Conduct regular site visits to monitor progress, ensure quality control, and address any unforeseen issues promptly.
• Technical & Administrative: Prepare and finalize project quotations and contracts. Ensure all designs and plans comply with local building codes, regulations, and safety standards in Singapore. Maintain an organized system for project documentation, including drawings, material specifications, and client communications.

Skills & Qualifications

• Education: A diploma or bachelor's degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field.
• Experience: Proven experience as an Interior Designer, with a strong portfolio showcasing a variety of projects (e.g., residential, commercial, hospitality). We welcome both experienced designers and promising fresh graduates.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in computer-aided design (CAD) software such as AutoCAD, SketchUp, and/or Revit. Familiarity with 3D rendering software (e.g., 3ds Max, V-Ray) and Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator) is highly desirable. Strong hand-sketching and presentation skills to effectively communicate design ideas.
• Soft Skills: Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills for building rapport with clients and managing project teams. Strong conceptualization and creative problem-solving abilities. Meticulous attention to detail and a high standard for quality. Excellent time management, organizational, and project management skills. A proactive and positive attitude with the ability to work independently and as part of a team. A deep understanding of design principles, color theory, and current industry trends in Singapore. Willing to attend to clients during weekends or after office hours.
