Job summary

JOYDOM ENGINEERING PTE. LTD. is seeking an Interior Design Specialist with a Diploma in Interior Design and at least 3 years of design experience. You will develop floor plans, create concepts, and present designs to clients, coordinating with contractors and vendors to ensure project quality.

The role requires proficiency in AutoCAD, SketchUp, Photoshop, Enscape, Vray, and other visualization tools. You must be able to travel for site visits and work beyond office hours to meet client needs.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Interior Design or related field.
• At least 3 years of design working experience.
• Proficiency in design software and tools such as AutoCAD, Photoshop, SketchUp, 2D and 3D visualization, Corona Rendering, Vray Rendering, SketchUp, InDesign, Enscape.

Responsibilities

• Conduct consultations with clients to understand their requirements, preferences, needs and budget constraints.
• Create detailed floor plans and layouts that optimize functionality.
• Generate design concepts that align with client vision and project objectives.
• Present design ideas through mood boards, sketches, and renderings.
• Determine project cost and requirements in budgeting phase.
• Report to General Manager regarding design, progress, budget and issues.
• Recommend furnishings, lighting and fixtures meeting client needs.
• Coordinate with contractors, workers and vendors for seamless execution.
• Source and specify materials and furnishings from suppliers.
• Develop and manage project budgets with cost estimates.

Job Scope:

• Conduct thoroughconsultations with clients to understand their requirements, preferences, needsand budget constraints
• Create detailedfloor plans and layouts that optimize the functionality
• Generate creativeand unique design concepts that align with the client's vision and projectobjectives
• Present designideas through mood boards, sketches, and renderings
• Determine cost ofcompletion and project requirements in the budgeting phase.
• Report to GeneralManager regarding the project design, progress, budget, cost and other issues
• Recommendfurniture, lighting, and fixtures that complement the overall design conceptand meet the client's requirements
• Coordinate with contractors,worker, and vendors to ensure seamless project execution
• Source andspecify materials and furnishings from various suppliers
• Develop andmanage project budgets, providing cost estimates for materials, labor, andother project-related expenses
• Identifycost-effective solutions without compromising design quality
• Using creativityto generate new concepts, plan spaces, create designs, and create buildingplans that can be manufactured
• Projectmanagement for renovation works including site supervision and projectcoordination
• Conduct sitevisit regularly and respond to all issue encountered
• Communicatedesign concepts effectively through presentations, using a variety of visualaids such as 2D and 3D renderings
• Stay abreast ofindustry trends, emerging technologies, and new materials through continuouslearning and professional development

Job Requirement:

• At least Diplomain Interior Design or related field
• At least 3 yearsdesign working experience
• Able workindependently with minimal supervision
• Proficiency indesign software and tools such as AutoCAD, Photoshop, Sketch up, 2D and 3Dvisualization, Corona Rendering, Vray Rendering, SketchUp, Indesign, Enscape
• Excellentcommunication and interpersonal skills
• Able to workunder pressure and with a sense of urgency to meet tight deadlines
