Job summary

The Ministry of Law, Singapore invites applications for a full-time internship with the Insolvency & Public Trustee's Office. The role supports the IIDRSD in both Debt Repayment Scheme and Adjudication tracks, beginning as soon as possible.

Interns will assist in evaluating debtors’ applications, reviewing assets and liabilities, and coordinating creditor meetings, as well as processing creditor claims, notices, and preliminary adjudication tasks under supervision.

Responsibilities

• Assist IIDRSD in Debt Repayment Scheme, including assessing applications and meetings of creditors.
• Examine debtor documents and verify assets and liabilities.
• Support cessation review of debt repayment plans.
• Examine validity of creditor claims in Adjudication role.
• Correspond with creditors and solicitors for information and evidence.
• Send statutory rejection notices to creditors not admitted.
• Assist preliminary adjudication for case classification and asset realisation.
• Review creditor appeals to file Proof of Debt.
• Liaise with solicitors regarding suits and damages.
