Job summary

copperco talent services pte. ltd. Singapore is seeking a Resident Engineer with a recognised Civil Engineering degree and 10 years of civil/infrastructure experience, including 8 years in complex rail/road design.

You will coordinate with consultants, manage multi-disciplinary teams, and ensure regulatory compliance with authorities. The role involves preparing detailed schedules, optimising design approaches, and providing technical solutions for site challenges, while guiding design engineers

Qualifications

• Degree recognised by the PE board or acceptable to the Commissioner of Building Control for Resident Engineer eligibility.
• 10 years relevant experience in civil engineering/infrastructure projects and 8 years in the design for complex rail/road projects.
• Experience dealing with authorities/agencies submissions ensuring regulatory compliance relating to project preparation and enabling works.
• Strong leadership, communication, technical, problem solving and analytical skills; ability to work under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Assist to ensure the functioning of the design and technical team for major infrastructure projects and provide design/technical expertise.
• Coordinate with consultants to ensure integrated multi-disciplinary approach and regulatory compliance.
• Assist in preparation and monitoring of detailed schedules/targets for temporary and permanent works design submissions with consultants to AC, client and BCA.
• Potentially optimise design approaches to minimise construction cost.
• Provide technical solutions for complex site issues and resolve discrepancies during project execution.
• Provide inputs to support project planning, scheduling and execution strategies.
• Guide and allocate tasks to Senior Design Engineers for overall design requirements.
• Prepare Site Construction and Design Coordination submissions for consultants’ input and site changes.
