Job summary

Achieve Group is seeking a hands-on IT professional to support local users, workplace technology, infrastructure and cybersecurity operations. You will act as the on-site link between employees, central IT teams, MSPs and vendors to keep IT services secure and efficient.

Responsibilities include deskside and remote support, device lifecycle management, incident triage and maintaining asset records, with a focus on Azure infrastructure, security, and collaboration tools.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience in end-user support and workplace technology operations.
• Experience coordinating MSPs and supporting multiple locations.
• Knowledge of M365 administration, IAM and Azure services.
• Familiarity with vulnerability management and security patching.
• Strong troubleshooting, prioritisation and communication skills.
• Certifications (e.g., Microsoft, ITIL) are a plus.

Job description

Our client is seeking a hands-on IT professional to support local users, workplace technology, infrastructure and cybersecurity operations. The position will serve as the on-site link between employees, central IT teams, managed service providers and technology vendors to maintain reliable, secure and efficient IT services.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide deskside and remote support for laptops, mobile devices, printers, meeting-room systems, collaboration tools and business applications.
• Manage the end-to-end device lifecycle, including deployment, replacement, collection, secure disposal and joiner, mover and leaver activities.
• Triage incidents and service requests, resolve issues within scope and escalates complex cases with clear diagnostics.
• Maintain accurate records covering IT assets, equipment assignments, warranties, stock levels and support activities.
• Support office networks, Wi‑Fi, workplace systems and other local technology infrastructure.
• Coordinate vendors and service providers for repairs, cabling, equipment moves, upgrades and maintenance activities.
• Work with central IT and service providers on infrastructure deployments, patching, testing, upgrades, recovery and technology refresh initiatives.
• Manage and optimise Azure infrastructure for availability, scalability and security, including supporting CI/CD pipelines.
• Support endpoint security, access controls, device compliance, vulnerability remediation, security patching and secure configurations.
• Assist with security incident investigation and containment, preserving relevant information and escalating promptly.
• Support access reviews, audits, risk assessments, control testing, business continuity and disaster recovery exercises.
• Maintain infrastructure diagrams, inventories, procedures and operational documentation.
• Monitor recurring incidents and infrastructure alerts, identify service improvements and track remediation through to completion.
• Ensure IT changes are authorised, documented, tested and supported by appropriate recovery or rollback plans.
• Promote responsible technology use, cybersecurity awareness and safe workplace practices.

Requirements:

• Diploma or degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Cybersecurity or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
• Hands‑on experience in end‑user support, workplace technology and infrastructure operations.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft 365 administration, endpoint management, identity and access management, network troubleshooting and Azure services.
• Familiarity with vulnerability management, security patching and cybersecurity operations.
• Experience coordinating managed service providers or supporting multiple locations would be advantageous.
• Microsoft, ITIL or relevant cybersecurity certifications will be viewed favourably.
• Strong troubleshooting, prioritisation and communication skills, with the ability to remain composed during service disruptions or security incidents.
• Customer‑focused and collaborative, with high integrity, attention to detail and a strong sense of ownership.
