Job summary

SYNAPXE PTE. LTD. in Singapore seeks an Infrastructure Security Engineer to design, implement, and maintain security across the IT infrastructure.

You will protect systems, networks, and data, ensure policy compliance, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance security posture. Responsibilities include developing and maintaining network security tools, integrating Firewall Policy Management with Automation and ITSM tools, coaching junior engineers, and delivering regular stakeholder

Qualifications

• Bachelor in Computer Engineering or equivalent.
• At least 5 years in Enterprise Firewall and at least 1 year in Network Security-related technologies.
• Strong hands-on experience with Fortinet.
• Experience building or managing enterprise-grade infra.
• Familiar with Firewall Policy Management tools such as Algosec and integrating with Automation and ITSM tools.
• Nice to have programming and scripting knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain security for network infrastructure.
• Coordinate security measures to protect the organization's network infrastructure.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to develop integrations between Firewall Policy Management, Automation and ITSM Tools.
• Improve standardization of firewall processes and operational hygiene.
• Provide regular reports to Stakeholders and coaching to junior engineers.
• Support 24/7 standby schedule.

Job description

Position Summary:

The Infrastructure Security Engineer is responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining the security of an organization's IT infrastructure. This role involves protecting systems, networks, and data from potential threats, ensuring compliance with security policies and regulations, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to enhance overall security posture.

Roles & responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain Network Security tools, practices and processes, coordinate security measures to protect the organization's network infrastructure.
• Work with a team of engineers to develop integrations between Firewall Policy Management, Automation and ITSM Tools.
• Develop and maintain processes and practices that drives towards incorporating best practices, improving operations hygiene and Standardization of Firewall Processes.
• Collaborate with Automation Team to develop new capabilities, improve integration between systems, improve efficiency and user experience.
• Provide regular reports and updates to Stakeholders.
• Provide coaching and guidance to junior engineers.

Requirements/ Qualifications:

• Bachelor in Computer Engineering or equivalent
• At least 5 year of experience in Enterprise Firewall and minimum 1 year of experience in Network Security-related technologies.
• Strong hands on experience with Fortinet is required
• Technical and hands-on engineer who have built, developed, or managed enterprise-level and mission-critical infrastructure.
• Have good knowledge developing Network Security Processes and working with Firewall Policy Management Tools (such as Algosec) and integrating it with Automation and ITSM Tools.
• Preferably some knowledge in working with programming and scripting languages.
• Knowledge in System & Network-related technologies.
• Have some working knowledge in infrastructure automation will be an advantage
• Possess a keen and curious mindset in discovering new and emerging technologies.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management
• Comfortable with 24/7 Standby scheduled
