Job summary

SYNAPXE PTE. LTD. in Singapore is seeking an Infra Security Engineer to manage enterprise firewall operations and AlgoSec platform tasks. The role focuses on firewall policy changes, risk assessments, and change-management governance to keep security posture robust.

You will collaborate with network, infra, and security teams to ensure secure, compliant firewall changes and efficient operations, with a 1-year fixed-term contract and 24/7 standby capability when required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor in Computer Engineering or equivalent.
• 1–2 years of hands-on firewall operations experience in enterprise infrastructure.
• Experience with Fortinet is a plus and familiarity with firewall rule management.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day operations of enterprise firewalls.
• Review, implement, and validate firewall policy changes per change management.
• Troubleshoot firewall connectivity and security issues.
• Monitor firewall logs, alerts, and health.
• Conduct firewall rule reviews and policy optimization.
• Perform firmware upgrades, patching and lifecycle management.
• Support incident response involving network security controls.
• Ensure configurations align with baselines and best practices.
• Administer AlgoSec platform components (Firewall Analyzer, FireFlow).
• Monitor AlgoSec health and integrations.
• Configure firewall device synchronization within AlgoSec.
• Support workflow automation for firewall change requests and approvals.
• Perform recertification, rule cleanup and policy optimization.
• Participate in vulnerability management and risk assessments.
• Conduct regular access reviews.

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Infra Security Engineer to manage and support enterprise network security operationswith a focus on AlgoSec Security Management Suite and network firewall administration. The successful candidate will be responsible for firewall policy management, security rule lifecycle governance, access request reviews,compliance reporting, risk assessments, and the operational support of networksecurity infrastructure.

This role works closely with network, infrastructure, cybersecurity, application, and project teams to ensure firewall changes are implementedsecurely, efficiently, and in compliance with organizational policies and regulatory requirements.

Roles and responsibilities:

• Manage day-to-dayoperations of enterprise firewalls
• Review, implement,and validate firewall policy changes in accordance with change management procedures.
• Troubleshoot firewall-related connectivity and security issues.

Requirements/ Qualifications:

• Bachelor in computer engineering or equivalent
• Minimum 1-2 years of hands on experience in firewall operations in Enterprise-level infrastructure environment.
• Experience with Fortinet will be added advantage
• Familiar with firewall rule and firewall policy managementexperience working with System or Network-related technologies.
• Strong troubleshooting and pattern analysis skills.
• Strong communicationand documentation skills.
• Able to support 24/7 standby when required
• 1 year contract
