Job summary

Infinite Computer Solutions Pte Ltd in Singapore seeks an Infrastructure Engineer with 8+ years of hands-on experience. You will manage Linux (RHEL/Oracle Linux) administration, VMware ESXi/vSphere/vCenter/vSAN, Huawei FusionCompute, and AIX/Power infrastructure.

The role covers storage, SAN, automation, migrations, and DR across mission-critical environments. The contract is 6 months with potential extension, based in Singapore.

Qualifications

• Strong hands-on experience in RHEL/Oracle Linux, Linux server administration, OS upgrades, kernel patching, troubleshooting, RAID, LVM, VxVM/VXFS, VCS, Red Hat Cluster, Oracle VM/OLVM, and Oracle RAC/ASM.
• VMware: design, implement, and administer ESXi, vSphere, vCenter, and vSAN, including HA, DRS, vMotion, Storage vMotion, VM lifecycle management, patching, upgrades, troubleshooting, and DR.
• Huawei FusionCompute, FusionManager, and FusionAccess: cluster configuration, HA, DRS, Live Migration, DVS, FC storage, resource pools, capacity planning, and migrations to FusionCompute.
• AIX, VIO Server, LPAR, HACMP, GPFS, NIM, LPM, LVM, MPIO, NPIV, SEA/NIB: AIX upgrades/migrations, Power Systems, and data center migration activities.
• Huawei OceanDisk storage, SAN, RAID, LUN management, storage provisioning, zoning, snapshots, capacity planning, performance monitoring, and SmartTier with SSD/HDD.
• Automation: Ansible, Chef, Puppet, Spacewalk/SUMA; patching, firmware upgrades, configuration management, monitoring.
• Migration & DR: Data Center migrations, VMware-to-FusionCompute migrations, DR/BC testing.
• Troubleshooting & Operations: L2/L3 infra support, OS/hardware/network/storage troubleshooting, NFS/DNS/autofs, backups, incident resolution.

Responsibilities

• Linux & Oracle Private Cloud administration, OS upgrades, kernel patching, troubleshooting.
• Virtualization design and administration of VMware ESXi, vSphere, vCenter, and vSAN, including HA/DR.
• Manage Huawei FusionCompute cluster, FusionManager, FusionAccess and migrations.
• AIX & Power infra including upgrades/migrations and data center moves.

Job description

• Position: Infrastructure Engineer
• Experience: 8+ years
• Location: Singapore
• Duration: 6 months, extendable

Scope of Work:

• Linux & Oracle Private Cloud: Strong hands-on experience in RHEL/Oracle Linux, Linux server administration, OS upgrades, kernel patching, troubleshooting, RAID, LVM, VxVM/VXFS, VCS, VVR, CFS, Red Hat Cluster, Oracle VM/OLVM, and Oracle RAC/ASM.
• Virtualization – VMware: Experience in designing, implementing, and administering VMware ESXi, vSphere, vCenter, and vSAN, including HA, DRS, vMotion, Storage vMotion, VM lifecycle management, patching, upgrades, troubleshooting, and DR.
• Huawei FusionCompute: Hands‑on experience with Huawei FusionCompute, FusionManager, and FusionAccess, including cluster configuration, HA, DRS, Live Migration, DVS, FC storage, resource pools, capacity planning, and VMware-to-FusionCompute migrations.
• AIX & Power Infrastructure: Strong experience in AIX, VIO Server, LPAR, HACMP, GPFS, NIM, LPM, LVM, MPIO, NPIV, SEA/NIB, AIX upgrades/migrations, Power Systems, and data center migration activities.
• Storage & SAN: Experience in Huawei OceanDisk, SAN infrastructure, RAID, LUN management, storage provisioning, zoning, snapshots, capacity planning, performance monitoring, and SmartTier with SSD/HDD storage environments.
• Automation & Infrastructure Management: Experience with Ansible, Chef, Puppet, Spacewalk/SUMA, package management, server patching, firmware upgrades, configuration management, and infrastructure monitoring/performance tuning.
• Migration, DR & Project Delivery: Experience in Data Center migrations, P2P/P2X migrations, VMware-to-FusionCompute migrations, Solaris-to-X migrations, AIX/Power migrations, Lift & Shift projects, OAT testing, and Disaster Recovery/Business Continuity exercises.
• Troubleshooting & Operations: Strong capability in L2/L3 infrastructure support, OS/hardware/network/storage troubleshooting, filesystem and user administration, NFS/DNS/autofs, backup and recovery, performance analysis, incident resolution, and managing production/DR environments with cross-functional teams.
