Job summary

Schneider Electric in Singapore is offering an Industrial Engineering Intern position for the H1 2027 cohort. Based in Tuas, you will join the Method Engineering Team and tackle real problems that improve manufacturing quality, efficiency, and capacity while gaining responsibility and learning opportunities.

You will execute process understanding, document work instructions, collect data, and contribute to continuous improvement projects under direct mentorship.

Qualifications

  • Pursuing a Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
  • Customer-focused with strong problem-solving skills and a passion for delivering effective solutions.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, PowerPoint, and Word).
  • Knowledge of automation, AI, or coding is an advantage.

Responsibilities

  • Develop understanding of manufacturing processes and workflow steps.
  • Assist in collecting and interpreting process time data to identify improvements.
  • Propose and support implementation of process improvements for quality and efficiency.
  • Update and maintain work instructions reflecting current processes.
  • Document manufacturing process flows and keep documentation up to date.

We are now hiring interns for our H1 2027 cohort! Internships will start in January 2027. Students who can commit full-time will be preferred.

Join us as an Industrial Engineering Intern to make an impact! Location: Tuas, Singapore. Kickstart your manufacturing career with a role that offers real responsibility and meaningful learning opportunities. You will join the Method Engineering Team, where you will proactively solve problems and drive continuous improvement initiatives. In this role, you will play an important part in improving manufacturing quality, efficiency, and capacity to ensure customer demand is fulfilled on time. What will you do:
Manufacturing process understanding
  • Develop a detailed understanding of manufacturing processes and workflow steps.
  • Assist in the collection, analysis, and interpretation of process time data to identify improvement opportunities.
  • Propose and support the implementation of process improvement initiatives to enhance manufacturing quality, productivity, and efficiency.
Standardization and Documentation
  • Update and maintain Work Instructions to ensure they accurately reflect current manufacturing processes and procedures.
  • Assist in documenting manufacturing process flows and keep process documentation up to date with the latest operational changes.
Continuous improvement assistance
  • Participate in continuous improvement projects to streamline and automate processes, improving manufacturing efficiency and productivity.
What qualifications will make you successful:
  • Pursuing a Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
  • Customer-focused with strong problem-solving skills and a passion for delivering effective solutions.
