Job summary

Schneider Electric in Singapore is offering an Industrial Engineering Intern position in the H12027 cohort, starting January 2027. The role focuses on supporting manufacturing operations, quality and safety initiatives, and learning through real hands-on challenges in a plant environment.

You will collect process time data, assist in drawing updates with AutoCAD, and support continuous improvement projects to boost productivity and efficiency while meeting customer demand.

Qualifications

  • Pursuing a Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
  • Customer-focused with strong problem-solving skills and a passion for delivering effective solutions.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, PowerPoint, and Word).
  • Knowledge of automation, artificial intelligence (AI), or coding is an advantage.

  • Manufacturing process time study: collect and analyze process time data to support operational improvements.
  • Documentation: assist in the creation, update, and maintenance of Work Instructions and production layout drawings in AutoCAD.

You'll play an important role in improving manufacturing quality, efficiency and capacity to fulfill customer demand on time. What will you do:
Manufacturing process time study:
  • Collect and analyze process time data to support operational improvements.
  • Identify and propose production station improvement opportunities to enhance productivity and efficiency.
  • Update and maintain standard processing times in manufacturing systems.
  • Review daily production data and records to monitor KPI performance, including efficiency and capacity, and ensure adherence to standard times.
Documentation:
  • Assist in the creation, update, and maintenance of Work Instructions.
  • Update and maintain production layout drawings in AutoCAD to reflect the latest manufacturing process changes.
Continuous improvement assistance:
  • Assist in continuous improvement projects to simplify/automate process and improve efficiency.
