Job summary

SmartRecruiters, Inc. is seeking a Nominee Director to serve on assigned client entities in Singapore, ensuring compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements, including the Singapore Companies Act.

You will oversee corporate governance matters, identify growth opportunities, and support client engagements, while upholding fiduciary standards and maintaining strong relationships with management.

Qualifications

• Experience in financial services, with exposure to regulated environments preferred.
• Strong understanding of investment, portfolio management and asset management sectors.
• Knowledge of governance practices and structures in financial services firms.
• Prior governance role experience is advantageous.
• Professionalism, judgment and stakeholder management skills are essential.

Responsibilities

• Serve as Nominee Director for assigned client entities in accordance with engagement requirements.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements, including Singapore Companies Act.
• Oversee corporate governance matters and maintain high fiduciary standards.
• Identify and communicate potential business growth opportunities to management while supporting client engagements.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by the Manager to support business and client needs.

Job Description

What you'll do

• You'll serve as the Nominee Director for assigned client entities in accordance with engagement requirements.
• You'll fulfill all Nominee Director responsibilities while ensuring compliance with company policies and relevant regulatory requirements, including the Singapore Companies Act.
• You'll oversee corporate governance matters and maintain high standards of regulatory and fiduciary compliance.
• You'll identify and communicate potential business growth opportunities to management while carrying out client engagements.
• You'll perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Manager to support business and client needs.

Qualifications

About you

• You have experience in the financial services industry, with exposure to regulated financial environments preferred.
• You possess a strong understanding of organizations operating within the investment, portfolio management, and asset management sectors.
• You have knowledge of industry practices, governance requirements, and business structures relevant to financial services firms.
• You bring prior experience serving in a similar appointment or corporate governance role, which would be highly advantageous.
• You demonstrate the professionalism, judgment, and stakeholder management skills required to effectively fulfill nominee directorship responsibilities.
