Job summary

IMDA invites internship candidates to join the Policy, Regulation & Competition Development (PRCD) Group for the January to June 2027 cycle. The role focuses on researching anti-scam regulations and regulatory practices to support policy decisions.

The intern will conduct desktop research, assist with due diligence and compliance exercises, and gain insights into regulatory decision-making processes within Singapore's digital economy.

• Assist the Market Policy & Regulation Division with review of existing anti-scam regulations such as SIM card registration measures.
• Perform desktop research on overseas jurisdictions’ regulations and industry practices on detecting and/or preventing scam calls and/or messages.
• Assist with due diligence and compliance exercises in relation to existing regulations.

Scope of Work

• The intern will assist the Market Policy & Regulation Division with review of existing anti-scam regulations such as SIM card registration measures. This will involve desktop research on overseas jurisdictions’ regulations and industry practices on detecting and/or preventing scam calls and/or messages. The intern will also be tasked to assist with due diligence and compliance exercises, in relation to existing regulations.
