Job summary

ScienTec Consulting Pte Ltd is seeking an Operations Support Engineer to provide governance and maintenance for smart systems, IIoT, and video platforms. The role focuses on system availability, security compliance, and effective vendor management while adhering to Government ICT policies.

The position requires a Diploma/ Degree in IT, CS, or Engineering and at least 2 years of relevant experience in IT operations, governance or infrastructure support.

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering or a related discipline.
• Min. 2 years of experience in IT operations, infrastructure support, system administration or technology operations governance.
• Good understanding of patch management, vulnerability management, user access management and system lifecycle management.
• Familiarity with IT security, risk management, change management and operational governance processes.
• Experience working with vendors and reviewing performance against SLAs and KPIs.
• Familiarity with Government ICT policies, security standards or regulated environments would be an advantage.
• Experience supporting enterprise systems, IoT platforms, video systems or similar operational technology environments would be advantageous.
• Able to identify operational risks, follow up on outstanding actions and ensure issues are resolved within required timelines.

Responsibilities

• Oversee vendors and maintenance teams to ensure operations and maintenance activities comply with contractual, operational and security requirements.
• Monitor system patching activities, vulnerability assessment findings and remediation progress.
• Track and coordinate renewals for software licences, certificates and subscriptions.
• Review system and application logs to identify potential operational or security anomalies.
• Monitor End-of-Support (EOS) and End-of-Life (EOL) timelines and support system lifecycle planning.
• Support system risk assessments and maintain relevant risk, issue and compliance registers.
• Manage user accounts, access reviews and account hygiene activities.
• Review and audit monthly maintenance and performance reports against agreed SLAs, KPIs and operational standards.
• Ensure vendors adopt standardised maintenance reports, templates and operational documentation.
• Support change management, including the review, coordination and tracking of Change Requests.
• Work closely with internal stakeholders and vendors to maintain system availability, reliability and security compliance.
