Job summary

FPT Asia Pacific Pte Ltd is seeking an experienced Business Analyst to support the enhancement, implementation, and maintenance of customer-facing digital platforms within the insurance domain.

The successful candidate will work closely with business users, IT teams, developers, and external vendors to gather requirements, coordinate system enhancements, conduct testing, and ensure successful delivery of IT solutions.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Information Technology, Business, or a related discipline.
• Minimum 5 years of experience as a Business Analyst, preferably within the banking, insurance, or financial services industry.
• Strong experience in business requirements gathering, functional analysis, and documentation.
• Hands-on experience in developing test plans, executing functional testing, and coordinating UAT.
• Experience supporting system enhancements, application maintenance, and IT project implementations.
• Good understanding of UI/UX design principles and customer-centric digital platforms.
• Familiarity with cross-platform system integration and digital customer journeys.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Excellent stakeholder management, documentation, and communication skills.
• Good command of English and Mandarin to communicate effectively with Chinese-speaking vendors.

The role focuses on supporting digital customer journeys, including policy purchases, payment processing, policy issuance, and system integration across multiple distribution channels.

Key Responsibilities

Business Analysis & Requirements Management

• Gather, analyse, and document business and functional requirements from stakeholders.
• Review business specifications and ensure requirements are accurately communicated to IT teams and developers.
• Conduct feasibility studies and functional analysis to assess proposed system enhancements.
• Collaborate with business users and technical teams to ensure solutions align with business objectives.
• Identify opportunities to improve existing systems, processes, and customer experiences.
• Support system enhancements and new initiatives across multiple business lines and distribution channels.

System Testing & Quality Assurance

• Develop and execute test plans, test cases, and testing documentation.
• Perform functional testing before releasing systems for User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
• Plan, coordinate, and support UAT activities, including manual and automated testing.
• Identify, investigate, and track system defects through resolution.
• Conduct post-production validation and random system checks to ensure applications function as expected.
• Continuously improve testing methodologies, documentation standards, and quality assurance processes.

Project Coordination & Implementation

• Coordinate system implementation activities with business users, IT teams, developers, and external vendors.
• Monitor project deliverables and ensure system enhancements are completed within agreed timelines.
• Support the rollout of new initiatives and system changes across different distribution channels.
• Assist in managing customer-facing digital applications, including purchase journeys, payment workflows, and policy issuance.
• Provide ongoing application support and troubleshoot system-related issues.

Documentation, Risk & Compliance

• Exposure to UI/UX design, system integration, and digital transformation initiatives.
• Experience in IT project coordination, implementation, and administration.
• Familiarity with automated testing tools and methodologies.
• Candidates who are available immediately or on short notice are preferred.
