Job summary

AEM, based in Singapore, is seeking an I/O Test Operator to perform electronic and mechanical assembly and support I/O testing to ensure products meet quality and functional requirements before deployment.

You will read simple electrical schematics, conduct basic testing, and maintain accurate records while adhering to safety and manufacturing procedures in a fast-paced environment. The role requires hands-on experience and the ability to work independently at our site.

Qualifications

• NITEC, Higher NITEC, SPM, or equivalent qualification in Electrical, Electronics, Mechatronics, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
• Hands-on experience in electrical or mechanical assembly work.
• Ability to read and interpret simple electrical schematics and technical drawings.
• Experience in equipment testing, I/O testing, functional testing, or related testing activities will be an added advantage.
• Familiarity with manufacturing or production environments is preferred.
• Good teamwork, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Able to work independently with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Perform electronic and mechanical assembly of equipment, sub-modules, and components according to work instructions and engineering drawings.
• Read and interpret simple electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and assembly drawings.
• Conduct I/O (Input/Output) testing and basic functional testing upon completion of assembly activities.
• Troubleshoot and identify basic assembly or testing issues and elevate when necessary.
• Ensure products meet quality standards and specifications before release.
• Maintain accurate production and testing records.
• Adhere to workplace safety, quality, and manufacturing procedures.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives and other production-related activities as assigned.
