Job Summary
The I/O Test Technician is responsible for assembling, testing, troubleshooting, and validating electromechanical equipment to ensure products meet quality, reliability, and functional requirements prior to deployment.
Responsibilities
- Perform product testing, troubleshooting, and failure analysis during system integration and validation activities.
- Work closely with Process and Test Engineers to identify, diagnose, and resolve technical issues throughout the build and testing stages.
- Carry out electromechanical assembly, calibration, repair, and rework activities according to engineering specifications and work instructions.
- Investigate and rectify assembly or testing issues to ensure product quality and performance standards are met.
- Maintain accurate test records, build documentation, and tracking logs to support data analysis and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Contribute to process improvement efforts by providing feedback on recurring failures and operational challenges.
- Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and operational procedures at all times.
Requirements
- NITEC, Higher NITEC, Diploma, or equivalent qualification in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related technical discipline.
- Basic understanding of electrical and electronic systems, circuit diagrams, and troubleshooting methodologies.
- Experience in equipment testing, system integration, I/O testing, electromechanical assembly, or a related manufacturing environment will be an advantage.
- Hands-on, detail-oriented, and capable of diagnosing technical issues systematically.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, wiring diagrams, and assembly instructions.
- Good teamwork and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across engineering and production teams.
- Willing and able to support night shift operations when required.
