Job summary

ANCHOR SEARCH GROUP PTE. LTD. seeks a senior Data Centre Design Lead to manage multiple greenfield and fit-out projects across regional metros, ensuring reliability, efficiency, sustainability and regulatory compliance.

You will lead a diverse consultant team, drive design quality from concept to handover, and coordinate across stakeholders while maintaining budget and schedule. Travel/relocation flexibility is required.

Qualifications

• Proven design leadership across regional metro projects.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Experience coordinating multiple consultants and stakeholders.
• Knowledge of design delivery methodologies (Design Bid Build, Design & Build).
• Willingness to relocate and travel for business needs.
• 10+ years in design consultancy with at least 5 years in a principal engineer role.

Responsibilities

• Manage multiple greenfield and fit-out Data Centre Design projects concurrently, ensuring completion within budget and schedule
• Develop design briefs and key metrics to maintain consistent design quality across regional metro projects
• Hold consultants and professional teams accountable for delivering project design intent and outcomes
• Lead a consortium of consultants including town planners, architects, civil & structural engineers, mechanical & electrical engineers, environmental and LEED consultants, and geotechnical engineers
• Collaborate with suppliers and designers to implement safety, efficiency, and sustainability improvements
• Conduct site visits to verify construction methods, site coordination, and equipment performance meet design criteria
• Ensure design compliance and timely project handover to customers
• Standardize design processes and manage customer design variations effectively
• Make advanced design decisions and secure customer buy-in for design solutions
• Stay updated on customers' latest technical directions and support technical RFP processes
• Qualify technical compliance and deviations with customers, including Service Level Agreements and compliance exceptions
• Initiate design improvements based on lessons learned from projects
• Oversee consistent project design delivery and construction quality
• Propose innovative solutions to accelerate design delivery and speed to market
