Design Manager - Hyperscale Data Centers

Job summary

LVI Associates seeks a Design Manager, Architecture to lead architectural design delivery for large-scale hyperscale data center developments across Singapore and the APAC region. You will collaborate with internal teams and external consultants to develop scalable, compliant designs that meet hyperscale standards while driving value engineering and fast-track delivery.

The role requires strong stakeholder management, knowledge of Singapore codes (BCA, URA, SCDF), and hands-on project delivery

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Architecture.
• 3+ years in architectural design and design management.
• Experience with large-scale developments (data centers preferred).
• Experience in developer/design-management/client-side environments; strong regulatory knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Lead architectural design delivery across all project phases.
• Develop design strategies aligned with hyperscale requirements.
• Coordinate external architectural consultants for quality and schedule.
• Review drawings, specifications and design documentation for compliance.
• Collaborate with civil/structural, MEP, and development teams for integrated designs.
• Lead design discussions with regulatory authorities (BCA/URA/SCDF) and manage approvals.
• Support tendering activities and contractor bid evaluation.
• Oversee contractor-led detailed design and shop drawings.
• Provide site support during construction to resolve design issues.
• Drive design optimization and value engineering balancing cost and program.
• Coordinate with clients, consultants, contractors and suppliers.
