Job summary

The MPA Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore invites a qualified professional to join the Hydrographic Division to deliver hydrographic, cartographic and aids to navigation products and services ensuring safe navigation in Singapore waters.

You will conduct UNCLOS research, analyse GIS data, provide technical assessments, manage client relations, oversee projects and deliver training. This is a 2-year contract appointment with opportunities to contribute to national maritime safety.

Qualifications

• Qualification in Engineering, Nautical Studies or Information Technology.
• Candidates with at least 2 years of experience in land surveying, cartography or GIS/CAD will have an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Conduct research on interpretation and application of UNCLOS.
• Analyse information through GIS applications and prepare assessment reports.
• Provision of technical assessment on strategic hydrographic matters.
• Manage internal and external clients to provide hydrographic information and assessments to meet client’s requirements.
• Manage projects and prepare reports for Hydrographic Division.
• Development and delivery of training on subject matter.
