Job summary

A leading engineering company in Singapore is seeking an experienced professional to design and implement refrigeration, heating, ventilation, and air-conditioning (RHVAC) systems. The ideal candidate will have tertiary education in engineering and at least 2 years of experience, preferably in the marine industry. Key responsibilities include conducting technical surveys, preparing quotations, and providing support to field works. Competitive compensation and opportunities for growth are offered.

Qualifications

  • At least 2 years’ experience in RHVAC systems, preferably in the marine industry.
  • In-depth knowledge of line components, circuit flushing, refrigerant recovery, pressure testing, and vacuuming.

Responsibilities

  • Design RHVAC systems, conduct site surveys, inspections, and cost estimation.
  • Work closely with Commercial & Sales and Operation Departments.
  • Prepare quotations for RHVAC projects.
  • Provide technical support for air-conditioning and automation systems.
  • Coordinate between worksite, office, clients, and suppliers.

Job description
Responsibilities
  • Designing of refrigeration, heating, ventilation and air-conditioning (RHVAC) system, site project survey, inspection and cost estimation, preparation of materials listing, drawings, installation, testing and commissioning.
  • Closely work and liaise with the Commercial & Sales Department and the Operation Department on projects that require the involvement of both these departments.
  • Preparation of quotations for RHVAC projects.
  • Provide technical support to the field works that include but not limited to the air-conditioning, ventilation, heating, electrical and automation system, mechanical and general:-

A) Technical survey and inspection, survey report writing, materials listing, equipment selection, quantification and identification.

B) Technical support to field work coordination.

  • Heat load calculation and air duct system design.
  • Project coordination between worksite, office, clients and suppliers.
  • Any other duties assigned by the Management as and when necessary.
Requirements
  • Tertiary education in engineering discipline
  • At least 2 years’ working experience in RHVAC systems preferrably in marine industry
  • Has in-depth knowledge of refrigeration cycle theory, line components, circuit flushing, refrigerant recovery, pressure testing and vacuuming
  • Good written and communication and coaching skills
