Job summary

Aptiv in Singapore seeks a skilled mechanical engineer to identify components, design thermal management systems, and perform FEA to ensure robust product performance across automotive hardware projects.

You will work with CAD, GD&T, and ASPICE processes, contribute to manufacturability, and support documentation with Polarion and related tools for traceability and requirements management.

Qualifications

• Identify and select mechanical components for hardware and product engineering projects.
• Design and optimize thermal management systems for heat dissipation and performance.
• Perform structural analysis to evaluate strength, durability, and integrity.
• Use FEA tools to assess structural performance.
• Utilize CAD software to create detailed mechanical designs and drawings.
• Apply manufacturing knowledge to ensure designs are manufacturable and cost-effective.
• Conduct FMEA to identify potential failure modes.
• Define GD&T requirements for proper fit, form, and function.
• Drive innovations to enhance design processes and product performance.
• Apply mechanical engineering processes and methodologies to execute projects.
• Follow MCAD engineering processes and workflows to develop designs.
• Design and simulate plastic components using BOD and DDS tools.
• Design mechanical enclosures and housings to ensure EMI/EMC considerations.
• Specify optical components and interfaces for integration.
• Follow ASPICE processes for mechanical projects.
• Utilize Polarion or similar tools for requirements management and documentation.
