Job summary

NTU's Nanyang Executive Centre (NEC) on the main campus seeks an experienced Housekeeping Manager to establish and sustain high cleanliness and organization standards across guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house spaces.

You will lead and train the housekeeping team, manage inventory, collaborate with other departments to ensure a premier guest experience, and execute pre-opening tasks to set up procedures, standards, and training for NEC’s launch.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Sales & Marketing, Hotel Management or relevant discipline (Diploma holders with extensive experience may be considered).
• 3–5 years of housekeeping management experience in a hotel.
• Experience with accommodation/hotel pre-opening is highly advantageous.
• Strong organizational and leadership skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Knowledge of safety and health regulations and standards.

Responsibilities

• Create and implement housekeeping procedures and standards to ensure a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for guests and staff.
• Manage the daily activities of the housekeeping staff, including scheduling, training, and performance management.
• Ensure that all rooms and public spaces are cleaned and maintained to the highest standards.
• Accountable for departmental budgeting and P&L.
• Monitor the inventory of housekeeping supplies and equipment and make recommendations for purchases.
• Ensure compliance with all safety and health regulations and standards.
• Work with other departments to ensure the overall guest experience is positive and consistent.
• Participate in the recruitment and hiring process of new housekeeping staff.
