Job summary

EDITION Hotels in Singapore seeks a Managing Housekeeping professional to oversee daily housekeeping operations, recreation/health club, and laundry efficiency while ensuring guest rooms, public spaces, and staff areas remain clean and well maintained. You will inspect, supervise, and coordinate efforts to meet budget goals and elevate guest satisfaction.

Responsibilities include training staff, scheduling, policy compliance, and maintaining effective communications with the Front Desk and hotel

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; 2 years experience in housekeeping or related area.
• 2-year degree in Hotel/Restaurant Management, Hospitality, Business Administration, or related major; no work experience required.

Responsibilities

• Verifies guest room status with Front Desk on a timely basis.
• Inspects guestrooms daily.
• Prepares work assignments from lists of rooms to be cleaned.
• Inventories stock to verify adequate supplies.
• Supports an inspection program for guestrooms and public spaces.
• Manages to meet or exceed budgeted goals.
• Ensures staff have supplies, equipment and uniforms.
• Communicates areas needing attention to staff and follows up.
• Supervises daily housekeeping shift operations.
• Participates in departmental meetings to align goals and outcomes.
• Trains new room attendants and provides follow-up training.
• Maintains open relationships with employees and tracks attendance.
• Schedules employees to meet business demands.
• Ensures policy compliance and disciplinary documentation.
• Monitors staffing to meet guest service and financial objectives.
• Observes service behaviours and provides feedback.
• Participates in employee recognition programs.
